    More speculations from my side:
    • We'll finally see the rest of the named Ascians who might be of importance in 6.0 or others might be in the Pandaemonium raid series just like Lohgrif and Mithron were in the Eden raid series
    • Since Endwalker involves the "end" of the world it might not just be Source that is affected but other shards as well (maybe we'll use the Azem crystal again and it might summon the current strongest warrior of lights from their respective shard, maybe the other shards of the Azem like Ardbert?)

If this was a single player game, I'd want the crystal to summon every ally we've met and fought alongside (still alive) on the Source and on the First to join us in one giant war-ish cutscene. But since this is an MMO and such a thing would be outside their budget (most likely), I'd settle for it summoning the souls of those we've lost on the way to help do the final blow. Moenbryda, Papalymo, Haurchefant, Ysayle, Ardbert's crew, Yotsuyu, etc.

This is most likely going the FFIV route, where in the moment just before our defeat, all of the characters we have met and changed their lives over the course of the story will become aware through some strange means (the aether will feel different?) and all of them will start to pray for our protection (either directly empowering us or charging Hydaelyn to empower us) which will lead to a changing of the tide and the final trial where we can deal with the final incarnation of the big bad on equal footing.

Regarding budget, this is easiest scenario to recreate because the minor characters will be in there places already. Yoshi-p even said they were going to try to involve as many characters as possible. This path makes it so they don't need much story time over 6.0 just the moment when they are really needed.

On one hand, this already happened, so it would be repeating a plot point.

On the other hand, this happened at the end of 1.0, so it would still be a cool callback to Louisoix's attempt to use the power of prayer and belief to seal Bahamut away again. Just because he failed at the time (possibly due to being too cautious) doesn't mean we'll fail now, especially since we've figured out more details about what Primals actually are during the course of our adventures.

This would be amazing. I am actually hoping that we wind up getting a Positive Final Ending where as part of how we handle Hydaelyn and Zodiark in the end, we get to tap into Amaurotine Creation Magic to enact our will to save everything, and a side effect would be restoring light and life to the Source and undoing the worst scars of war (including undoing some of the corrupted aether like in Thanalan etc) and also reviving some of those deceased friends...

The thing is though, we have already done that very thing once before way back at the climax of the 2.0 ARR story - after the WoL summons the Blade of Light and drives out Lahabrea from his host (Thancred), Lahabrea appears in front of Hydaelyn in her Mothercrystal form, and between them, the WoL... then... the friends and allies they met in the initial story (like the other Archons, even the nation leaders), all materialize beside them and then all rush the Ascian in Super-Sayian style and ultimately obliterate him, sending Lahabrea back to the border of the aetherial sea (and shattering the Crystal of Darkness around Thancred's neck, freeing Thancred from the Ascian's control for good).

I was always puzzled by the significance and mechanincs of that scene but now, it all makes perfect sense, the WoL back then inadervently drew on their 'wanderer' powers and summoned their closest allies to them without even knowing it to help them defeat Lahabrea (and it was probably also boosted by the WoL being right next to Hydaelyn herself at the time). And given EW will be the resolution to that story, it would make even more sense to see this very thing one more time as a call back and fitting coda to ARR's beginning (alas, 1.0 had nothing like that).

Yeah, now that you mention it a lot of our foes have been disintegrated by us Kamehameha-style huh? Weird.
