More speculations from my side:
- We'll finally see the rest of the named Ascians who might be of importance in 6.0 or others might be in the Pandaemonium raid series just like Lohgrif and Mithron were in the Eden raid series
- Since Endwalker involves the "end" of the world it might not just be Source that is affected but other shards as well (maybe we'll use the Azem crystal again and it might summon the current strongest warrior of lights from their respective shard, maybe the other shards of the Azem like Ardbert?)
I thought it was named Menphina (one of the Twelve), but it seems I can't find anything about the moon actually being called Menphina. Rather that the moon is the goddess' symbol...
Right, it was never offically confirmed the primary moon was 'officially' named Menphina, that mostly was a theory (which I supported myself) stemming from how Dalamud was always known as "Menphina's loyal hound", so it stood to reason that "proved" that the Primary Moon was called 'Menphina'.
Really though, it's unclear as it's never been stated anywhere that is the case to my knowledge, so take it as just a fan theory (way back in 1.0, this old thread attempted to get to the bottom of it (along with many other astronomical mysteries of Hydaelyn) but came up empty handed.).
If the planet is named Hydaelyn, then wouldn't it make sense if (assuming it even has a name at all) the moon is called Zodiark?
Not exactly - Zodiark's very existence wasn't even known til the stinger of ARR's original storyline when he was first referred to by name, and a significant amount of story passed before Zodiark being confined on the moon was mentioned, and most people wouldn't even know the name or recognize it - certainly the smallfolk in the street wouldn't know the name.
After all, the primary moon is Zodiark's prison, not Zodiark itself (nor is Zodiark's 'the will of the moon' like Hydaelyn is the 'will of the planet').
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. So they'll probably announce the HW 24 mans will be mandatory in a later patch that all but confirms it.
I hope the moon has some psychedelic imagery to go with it. No way they'll make it look like The Burn, but at night and low gravity. Destiny's moon while retains that realistic look, there are catacombs of creepy alien insectoid structures on the surface, but inside is even more gnarly with webbing and obelisks.
Also, I wonder if Lahabrea is truly "not dead" then? More of a whos-side-is-he-really-on character that will end up as the raid story, but in the MSQ he may be a wild card but eventually turns the tide of war in our favor realizing the error of his ways?

I wonder if Pashtarot will show up in MSQ considering that their counterpart is Zeromus who's named for the final boss of FF4.
If they do, that'd only give us 3 more Ascian to deal with right? That'd line up pretty nicely for either 6.X's trials (or even potentially the antagonists behind Pandemonium).
On that subject, Hydaelyn is probably not the planet's actual name. It's something people use because Hydaelyn is the will of the star and has been exerting influence in various ways for 12,000 years. I'd guess that the original name of the world will become relevant at some point in the future.
If this was a single player game, I'd want the crystal to summon every ally we've met and fought alongside (still alive) on the Source and on the First to join us in one giant war-ish cutscene. But since this is an MMO and such a thing would be outside their budget (most likely), I'd settle for it summoning the souls of those we've lost on the way to help do the final blow. Moenbryda, Papalymo, Haurchefant, Ysayle, Ardbert's crew, Yotsuyu, etc.Since Endwalker involves the "end" of the world it might not just be Source that is affected but other shards as well (maybe we'll use the Azem crystal again and it might summon the current strongest warrior of lights from their respective shard, maybe the other shards of the Azem like Ardbert?)
