When it comes to the EU and NA community, the main obstacles standing in the way of feedback seem to be a combination of the language barrier, the lack of visibility/engagement from our community representatives and a laser focus on Twitter and Reddit which are well known to be echo chambers that downvote/stifle discussion about the game.

Tried to do the new duty. We had two healers out of 24 players, the first boss took forever, and then seven people (including both healers) dropped. And the duty has no option to refill, so we had no choice but to give up.

If the rest of the place is more damage sponge bosses with more pass-or-die mechanics, I might just call it quits on this. It's just not fun.

I think the deaf ear, though, is a relic of SE Japan from a long time ago. There is certainly, at best, selective hearing as it relates to the NA (and possibly EU) playerbase(s). And I'm not surprised.

I don't blame them considering what I see on these forums. I barely ever see constructive criticism on here it's always berate berate berate. Saying something should be easy when they have no development experience. I'm not saying the devs are infallible and never wrong because they do make mistakes quite often cough pagos and anemos cough hack healers dps couggggh but you could at least suggest ways that it could be improved

When the community posts threads such as "Is Lyse ugly?" then I see why they might not listen to all of western players demands... They do listen, but they also do their own thing as any development team does.

Did anyone manage to clear castrum today? Ive been trying to get some loot inside, but damn people wipe already at first boss. Also only 25+- participating isnt helping at all. I am not sure about you guys, but the "syncing" isnt really working. Is it?

The syncing works (unless the patch broke it) it sounds more like people were not using lost across actions

The real question is why they thought a 48 man savage duty would be a good idea.

Even among raiders, only the most hardcore of the hardcore have any hope of ever doing it. Do you know 6 full statics to party up with? I don't. I know one static. I do not know 6.

Are we supposed to sit in PF while 6 full parties fill up? With random pugs? And we're supposed to prog a fight while waiting for 47 other people.. or even 40 other people if you bring your whole static. No thank you. I don't have the time for that.

So who is this content for? Streamers?

I assume it was made with Japanese players in mind; there they don't mind pugging content. After doing Normal I'm concerned how pug groups would go. Two wrong hits (without the debuff going away) you get Doom and die. You die, unless someone has a Lost Action to raise you, you're done, and you get booted if you're dead for too long. Imagine losing the dps check at the guards....
I know BA had a similar mechanic, but I've seen it being done and I felt that was moreso doable.

The only reason why it's not worse here is because it's moderated to some degree. Discussion is not much more constructive and it's difficult to find any positive threads and posts. Just because somewhere else is worse doesn't make it ok to have threads like "Is Lyse ugly?" on this forum.

We did the new dungeon today and it took an inordinate length of time. I am not a good player and merely wanted to do it to get the new Relic weapon. I seem to have to do it a second time to continue one of the quests which I am not looking forward to. The Raid is more at Savage Level than for the ordinary player. I am 68 years old and a bit sad that every difficult dungeon is about running around like a scalded cat and I just don't have those reflexes especially as my generation were not born with a controller in our hands. I am also concerned that having been told that the loathsome memories drop in critical engagements have done four and not seen one yet. I did an Alliance Raid and got one there but this just encourages bad behaviour as people will do an Alliance Raid Roulette and leave if not teh right one.

Eh, it's mostly harmless and easily ignored though. Meanwhile on Twitter people get harassed and threatened for liking the 'wrong' characters or having the 'wrong' opinions.
