Bozja is extremely disappointing (especially the 5.45 update)

Yeah, guess this means I not only won't bother trying to further my relic weapons, won't bother trying to get the ones I don't have yet, and won't bother even starting the next ones in the next expansion. No point in caring about the content and then having the rug pulled out from under me once I'm half way through.

And the biggest middle finger of them all to me personally? Essentially locking a new hair style people have been wanting for literal years beyond a random drop at the end of content people won't even be running in a couple of weeks time. Just buy it on the Market you say? Yeah, not when it's going to cost more than a House, assuming you can even find any listed (and that goes for both the House and the hair style).

Aren't there ways to get the relic weapons and not run Bozja at all, though? I thought for the next few steps, you could do CT, Mhach, Ivalice, or a number of fates. The final step in this tier can also be done through Palace of the Dead, right? Or am I misinformed on that?

I mean, obviously that doesn't solve people having issues with Bozja, and it sucks that it's discouraging players. But if you were really looking forward to the new relic weapons, I think the alternate ways to grind up aren't bad! I hope you can find a way to enjoy it if you want them

From how I understood it you can farm the materials needed outside of Bozja but to even gain access to the quest for the new weapon you need to complete the questline inside of Bozja, which basically means you're forced to do Bozja anyway.

Ahhh yeah that's a bit silly then that they give you alternate ways of doing it if you still basically have to grind up Boz anyway :/ I mean it does reduce the amount of time you have to do it at least? But that's probably not much of a silver lining for those who don't wanna. I wonder if there are alternate ways they could do/could have done to have the relic weapons still tied to the Bozja story but not make you go through the Bozjan Front. Cos I really do like how it's part of the lore of Bozja.

But.... you're not forced into bozja for relics. At least you don't have to stay in there as long as eureka since you can get mats for the relics out of bozja which you couldn't do with eureka which shows that they are listening?

Yes you are. You have to complete the first arc of the story to get this next segment. The quest isn't divorced from the zone like ARR and HW relics. People didn't just want the option to get the items elsewhere. They wanted to never have to interact with the content at all. And that was very clearly communicated.

Bozja is in no way remotely better than Eureka. It is lesser than Eureka in every single way.

Disagree. Unlike Eureka I can actually kill something at level one and dont need to be in a group.
It doesn't take forever to kill something if Im not constantly switching around an elemental board.

For me, I wouldn't care as much about doing the zone if they didn't sum it all up as FATE grinding and a group instance, which ties completion to the whims of other people. If you could get mettle from regular mobs and there were something like daily missions that could also give you mettle, and mettle from completing the challenge log like Eureka gave experience, that gives an alternate way to rank up there besides FATE grinding. I am so sick of FATEs. They tie them to everything. It's their lazy way of providing "content" by not really providing content.

Then you top at least the first segment off with a group instance that only succeeds if people are interested and in the zone. Once the content dies, you screw over anyone who wasn't there at the beginning. This not only hurts current players who may or may not be able to do that, it hurts new players who get to this months or years later. New folks can go do atma or anima and even some relic to my knowledge (with Eureka changes) even now. That's not going to be the case with Bozja. This design makes the Eureka problem even worse.

They can change how castrum works by next expac when the relic grind isn't important anymore by adding npcs to castrum or making it a non requirement anymore.

Since you're tired of fates what would you want to do instead. Genuine curiosity because sometimes the players can come up with better ideas than the devs

I mean the relic is tied to bozja. The series is called save the queen. The resistance is the whole reason for making them so it'd be weird to not help them on the battle field

They could have tied the new step to fate grinding and CE's in Bozja and then made the next step for the i530 relic require mats from Castrum and Delubrum instead of the current system where it's clear once and forget it ever existed.

At least then getting people to clear the alliance raids wouldn't be so far fetched compared to now where people who want nothing to do with any of the instances are forced to catch up or abandon their relics altogether
