Hopes:
+Jobs are finally "done" with the major revamping/overhaul as a whole; small tweaks and balance from here on out.
+A GuildWars 2-esque end to "Season 1"; In GW2, when you joined the game, as long as you were max level (in FFXIV terms, 50), you could begin any of the different expansions
+An end to level raising. Just increase iLVL and have that be the barrier of entry to content.
+Fix MP/HP; why is it at level 1 I have around 100 HP and 10,000 MP? I would say you should reach a max HP and MP at level 50. Keep the same numbers we have now behind the scenes, but seeing huge ridiculous numbers makes them lose meaning (to me; imho).
+Post Release zones. Guildwars releases entire new zones with some kinda meta as part of their major patches. This is fantastic when you want something new to do and allows for a variety of new experiences (story, new harvesting nodes, possibly new hunts).

Fears:
-FFXI route of "micro expansions" which tell short, disconnected stories. Fun, but never really satisfying in the way a full expansion is.
-Stagnation/rinse repeat villains. I get what they're trying to go for with Zenos (Zemus??) and fully expect him to turn into FF4's Zeromus for a major boss of the next expansion...but it's just not really a compelling thing at this point.
