They could just do what they did in FFXI - prevent summoning avatars in city states. Personally I'd like the primals to be a little bit bigger (not huge though - too big and they cause issues in dungeons/raids) and a bit more 'real' rather than floating gummy shapes.Maybe SE feels like if we actually summoned smaller primal versions then everyone would play summoner for the aesthetic appeal. Kinda silly way to look at it if that’s SE’s reasoning. Yoshi said a long time ago I’m not sure on the exact date but he said he doesn’t want huge primals running around with summoners in places like Limsa, Uldah and Gridiana. That could also be the reason.

Yeah I rememeber the day when I had 3 Summoners in my party and they all spawned their Bahamut simultaneously on top of me, blocking all my vision and I died to the mechanic wich happened at the same time >.>
I really should look up that text command for shrinking them...

Yikes, yeah that is one issue with bigger summons (didn't know there was a way to shrink them though). Maybe have a UI option to adjust transparency of summons or have "simple" and "detailed" display options for them (bit like the class bars?).
