Maybe SE feels like if we actually summoned smaller primal versions then everyone would play summoner for the aesthetic appeal. Kinda silly way to look at it if that’s SE’s reasoning. Yoshi said a long time ago I’m not sure on the exact date but he said he doesn’t want huge primals running around with summoners in places like Limsa, Uldah and Gridiana. That could also be the reason.
