If you utilize HQ materials, you gain a bonus to starting Quality, if using all HQ means your bonus Quality is 500 if i'm not misremembering what I read, mixing NQ and HQ gives a value between 0~500.

The projected numbers are so that, using your best crafter gear and the best of your abilities, you get up to +600 Quality if memory serves me well.

In the end: If you somehow can scrounge up 1000 Quality from all NQ materials, gods you deserve that High Quality item and you will get it
You are not understanding... Right now I can take a level 1 item since I'm level 50.. and spam careful/clean slate etc.. get normal items over 300 quality.. and get HQ more than 50% of the time. This is based on skill.

In this patch if you start a level 1 synth with nq items.. and you get it to 1000 quality, you are only given 10% chance. Your skill over the level means nothing. Its based solely on the materials you use.

They took crafting skill out of the game, and its now on who can farm/buy the most hq items to start your synths. This isnt an issue for me, but I'm trying to stand-up for those who just dont understand how this is making the crafting system that much more pointless.
