    Its not nit picking when every reason you mentioned is personal taste, and the things I mentioned are unavoidable irritating nonsense.

    To me a reason to not play a game should be "hey i'm getting 90's internet pop up spam that I cant turn off" instead of "I prefer turn based."

    I can enjoy both turn based and real time. What I cant enjoy is someone telling me every 5 seconds where I am.

    This is the main reasons I cant play other games outside of the Final Fantasy franchise. They are so full of nonsensical garbage, whereas a typical Final Fantasy game makes sense, is clean and orderly.

    Thank you for the insults and false accusations, I have been convinced to absolutely not purchase FFXVI. I will spend my money on another interest. Nor will I be discussing it further as to avoid publicizing the game positively or negatively.

    ITT: People saying that FFXIV subs funded FFXVI as if FFXI and other past FFs and other SE products have not funded XIV in the first place.

    well, on topic of my 2 cents on who 16 looks, I don't like the shade all with black edgy aesthetics, I like more color on my games to actually see the action that is hidden on lots of flashy effects, really hope the art direction to up the fantasy on FF that let my eyes keep track on things (ff7R did a good job even on mostly dark environments, so there is hope)

    on Yoshi and his team on 2 games, well, I really hope they are not crunching them as they had to crunch to save XIV as documented that they worked on 1.0 updates to keep face while secretly working on 2.0, cuz I have been on similar high pressure, lots of work environments working on multiple proyects and is not good for your health (I had a stroke and spent my savings on medical expenses so it was a loss loss for me)

    And as a FFXIV player, as long as there is quality content comming for it, id does not matter much who is behind the wheel and even some new eyes can keep things fresh or ruin it and we can all move on to other place, as much as one can like FFXIV it has to end some day, but well, we can worry about that once we reach lvl cap 99 and a little more after that.

    He only really denied two things. That he was "directing" Final Fantasy XVI and that he was leaving Final Fantasy XVI to work on it.

    He didn't lie at all. He's not "directing" Final Fantasy XVI, he's "producing" it. Hiroshi Takai is the Director of Final Fantasy XVI whereas Naoki Yoshida is the Producer for it while simultaneously maintaining his position as both Director and Producer of Final Fantasy XIV.

    Wish we had more tactical combat like in the past and not these button spam "action" combats. I know it's how young people like nowadays to be fast and not needing to think so thats why they do it.

    Was excited till we got to the gameplay. I like action RPGs, I just haven't enjoyed the combat in a FF game since FFX. (Besides the MMOs) If they hate turnbased so much why can't they make the combat like Tales of or Dragon Age?

    I'm not musically inclined, but I am more than certain that the trailer music was composed by Sokken at least. The type of instruments and how everything came together just screamed ffxiv music to me that it has to be. Now, another composer could be emulating him to tap into the ffxiv fanbase and have us all beckoned to ff16 as if it were a siron's song but I doubt.

    I also doubt it was Shimamura. Not enough piano, not enough violin.

    I just hope it's good..if its another bad title after ff15 i fear the franchise might have lost its way..=(. last one i enjoyed was 13 and even that was a stretch after the time travel lore got hard to follow.

    I hope they can make the combat a bit more grounded like FF7R. KH3 and FFXV loose and floaty combat has gotten old and uninteresting. That said there’s some DMC flavor in this. Might turn out a bit better constructed combat flow

    The single-player franchise lost it's the way a looooooong time ago already imo. The combat has gotten progressively worse every game since FF10. I remember back in 13 there was a meme going around where someone set up one of those wooden birds to play the one button combat for them. Really wish they would go back to turn based.
