You actually think content that isn't EX/savage/ultimate has actual, enrages? Dungeon bosses pretty much just infinitely repeat their mechanics after they've gone through the entire cycle of them, and while normal mode raids have *soft* enrages where the boss just spams raidwide damage over and over, it's still entirely possible to heal through that with halfway competent healers.

The only boss I can think of that actually has an enrage is the Ultima Beast from that one Allagan Hard dungeon.
Halicarnassus from Haukke Hard, too... though she's a special case. If your DPS is too great (or you completely ignore the adds), then you wipe (usually the moment Amandine appears). Though she is also on a 6 minute enrage timer, where if you reach six minutes, she will Fatal Allure someone in your party (lowest HP person, who most likely has 90-100% HP), kill them and then wipe the party.

The last stromblood dungeon seems to have one and I am pretty sure some ARR level 50 dungeon had them too but I have not seen those in roulettes in a very long time.

not to be that guy but ruby weapon does indeed have an actual enrage, but he is the exception rather than the rule.

I think we should all take the Casualists advice and just start vote kicking them from all content. How long till this forum is filled with threads from people complaining about being vote kicked and how it's unfair?

"I keep getting kicked from dungeons and no one will tell me why"
"Vote kicking someone for not being very good - Is it harassment?"
"People should be helping bad players improve instead of just kicking them"

Can imagine that people will only stop tolerating subpar performance when they release something like The Burn again.
It's like I said, if the run is going fine what's the point in starting crap with someone by calling them out in front of the group? It's just spite at that point, and if the run is going fine I don't see any need to grind it to a halt just so you can get your revenge.

It's one lazy healer you'll probably never see again. His punishment is the fact that everything he runs is going to take 5-10 minutes longer than it has to. If that's not good enough for you then do whatever you need to feel vindicated, but wait until after the run so you're not involving everyone else.

If the content actually starts getting challenging then it'll make sense to feel like we need to elevate the community. As of right now all of the whining is just petty. The community as a whole is perfectly fine for the current difficulty of 90% of this games content.

Go for it. If the vote kick passes that means the whole group agrees the runs pace isn't adequate, so removing the player who doesn't mesh with the group is completely fair.

That's better than you unilaterally deciding to single someone out for ridicule, which is more likely than not just going to make that person defensive.

No. Random party members' performances would still not be important enough to me to say anything about it. I would just change how i approach the content, doing it with friends if failures became too common-place (they wouldn't. I rarely have a run of any dungeon content that deviates more than 3-5 minutes in either direction)

This is what I do in Guildwars 2 with content that is difficult to pug. It's what i have historically done when i've played savage and extreme content in this game as well.

Giving advice is so not the same as ridiculing someone. Do you think everyone's ego is so fragile that they simple can't bear tips and suggestions being tossed their way? And if it IS that fragile, then they need to do something about it as being given advice is just something that is going to happen in life. If your immediate reaction is to act negatively to it, then that is on you.

I think being called out in front of strangers is something that always has a decent chance of being interpreted as a slight, especially if it was unnecessary. So, if the run is going fine the only reason to call someone out is to be a dick.

If my co-worker is doing his job wrong I don't care one bit if we're in front of the entire workplace, I'm going to approach him and offer a suggestion on how to do it better. Obviously you don't ridicule them, you offer help. The two are very different things and it seems to me that you're incapable of differentiating between the two; this makes you part of the problem this community has.
