this doesn't even come close to compare. the equivalent skill you are looking for Nascent Flash is Intervention on Paladin, which does require a party member targeted to use. Divine Veil equivalent is Shake it Off, which does not require a middle man for activation.

My thoughts exactly. Intervention requires you to think about what you are using it for because it costs oath. Intervention is fire and forget, and I usually pop rampart or sentinel for OT absorption for tank busters or tank cleave.

Nascent flash is just...there. I honestly think the duration needs to be 10 seconds of HP absorption, and then it would be a skill that I can take a little more time to think about what I want to do before it's over.
