PSA : SE is silencing people who oppose their atrocious monatization practices. My boyfriend made this thread to make light of SE gating seasonal content in the cash shop. Last night he was banned from the forums under false pretense so that he couldn't continue voicing his concern in the forums. Many people are arguing that this seasonal mount in the cash shop isn't that bad. However, where do we draw the line for what is acceptable in a subscription game that is leaning towards a free to play model?

Just wondering in the email that has states the reason for the suspension what rule / post did they quote?

The amount of people shilling for SE here is worrying, not gonna lie. How about we increase the monthly subscription, make every future mount a Mog Station only item and all dyes are single use and can only be purchased for real money. I'm sure even then people would defend the game. Give them and inch and such. Some people have no common sense. /sigh

The reality is you are right people will defend the game since many have differing views and for microtransactions to work they do not need a large percentage of the player base to take part.

I mean if SE cash shop the hill on which people wish to die on so be it. In the end though SE has a rather modest cash shop that surprisingly tame when you compare them to other moms and competitively priced. As you mentioned it could be so much worse. Sure it could be better but expecting them to stop using the cash shop for mounts, dyes, cosmetic items is not going to happen unless they do something that will cause a mass exodus of the game.
