Thing is they want it but don't want to pay for it.
I find these condescending attitudes to be quite amusing. I'm sure you're laughing at me just as hard as I'm laughing at you.
Some people like reminiscing about the days when a purchase for a product actually gave you the entire product. If I wanted to unlock an extra outfit in a Super Nintendo game, I didn't have to buy an extra cartridge. If I wanted a larger game that was more expensive to make, I simply paid more.
But apparently, in the minds of people on this forum, bringing that sort of thing up makes you:
-a crybaby
-ungrateful
-spitting on the developers
The logic is asinine and absurd, seeing as to how, of all places, this was brought up in a forum intended for discussion.
News flash - if people like me were truly ungrateful crybabies who wanted to spit on the developers, we wouldn't be here. We'd unsubscribe, delete our characters, and terminate our service accounts to ensure we'd never come back and give them another dollar. But here we are, venting instead of unsubbing.
Don't speak for me. I just don't like a partial package. If they need more money to keep things running, there are plenty of other ways to get money out of me.
It's interesting that there's a lot of vocal backlash in regards to the Mog Station but hardly any directed at PvP exclusive mounts that are only available on a temporary basis to a very small portion of the community. I would have thought the latter would be of greater concern for mount collectors. Anything put on the Mog Station can be obtained at any time, so if people truly want something from it they can save up and acquire it for themselves. There's no such wriggle room for timed exclusives, however...
The only "dark side" of a cash shop in a game like this is P2W.
The game gives you 1000s of glams and tons of mounts you can earn in game, getting upset that a HQ dust bunny mount is only on the cash shop seems very naive to me.
"Oh NOEZ! This cute mount shoulda been an in game Easter event reward! Yes, this event should have 2 glams, housing items and 1 of the best looking mounts cause I say so!".
I don't expect much from these forums but I can always find a good chuckle when I visit.

Even if One of them is abit rude and over the top, he isn't wrong on the Simple Point - Dont like it, dont buy it. How hard is that?
Like Seriously...
Now then...What Old Super Nintendo Game is a subscription Based MMO that is updated over the years with Brand New content on a Quarterly(?) basis, that gives you literally everything for free by just playing the game? You are aware of how much your given in this game through patches and updates right? So to sit here and get upset about a Premium Mount not being free for the event: that it isn't even themed around, does look and sound abit Entitled and Ungrateful.
And What Partial Package are you talking about? A Sprag mount which is a singular item? I mean dude, if a mount upsets you, I can't picture SE selling anything on the Mogstation that wouldn't be seen as a "Partial Deal". More then likely it would be the same argument "I should be able to get it for free in game."
So it sounds like...SE can't win.
It's not a matter of liking it or not. The issue here is that mount should have been part of the hatching tide event.
They have been selling mounts for years and I even bought some however I don't want seasonal event to be like this:
random minion/glam/emote in game and an seasonal based mount on mogstation.
Should have? Why, because it's related to the monster that Squeenix has linked to the event?
It's very possible the entire concept was inspired by the event, but if it's the cash shop team that conceptualized and produced it, it's cash shop stuff.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
What makes this Mount Seasonal, and why 'should' it be part of the event? It's not a matter of liking it or not. The issue here is that mount should have been part of the hatching tide event.

Because its a Sprag? Does that automatically mean its an Easter Themed mount? So if there was a Sprag Themed Weapon that means its an Easter Weapon?
Ive looked at it Multipe times, I fail to see why peope think its a Seasonal Mount. Just because there is a Sprag idoesnt mean its easter
There was a lot of backlash, but devs said many times PvP seasonal mounts will remain exclusive forever so they gave up. By the way, anyone can be a part of "a very small portion of the community", it's only up to them if they want to. There are no participacion restrictions the last time I checked. It's interesting that there's a lot of vocal backlash in regards to the Mog Station but hardly any directed at PvP exclusive mounts that are only available on a temporary basis to a very small portion of the community. All Easter events feature eggs and spriggans. The literally gave Spriggan set as last year's reward. I fail to NOT see a connection. What makes this Mount Seasonal, and why 'should' it be part of the event?
