Whats the point of a Seasonal Event item if you can Just get it in Game at any time? Just because you Pay X amount per-month to Play a game doesn't mean your entitled to anything, except the ability to play the game.

Yeah, and it went to the cash shop, because it was probably made by the mogstation team, and not the game's team. So created specifically for the cash shop. Doesn't matter if it has a holiday theme and timing you don't like. Wouldn't be available at all otherwise.

No, I'm not necessarily advocating for cash shop only mounts either. You can check my lodestone I have a total of one mount from there, that I got on sale. I spend my money on fantasia. The playerbase votes with their wallet. They buy the mounts, so the mogstation team meets the demand.

I wasn't debating an item going straight to the cash shop, I made a statement about Seasonal Items being sold later in the cash shop. And you engaged in it XD.
But getting on track, why is it a big deal? Its a Premium Mount that they are putting up for sale in the Premium Store. Its pretty extreme to say that FFXIV is becoming a Wallet Drain game over a Premium Mount.
And btw...You get 2 free Retainers, anything more you pay extra for, and its optional. Just wanted to set that straight, cause you opening post made it sound like we have to pay for retainers .

It is a good thing the Dev team can't find enough staff. But the cash shop team can.

I would've defended this years ago when event rewards were still pretty good, but most (certainly not all) of the events for the last year+ have had some bum rewards if you ask me. I feel like this would've been a reward in the past, but now...eeehhhh.

That said, if you wanna buy the new mount or whatever then go ahead. It's your money. If you're having fun and you feel it's worth it, then that's literally all that matters. Forget the haters and keep on doin you, sweetie. It's not a big deal at the end of the day. And anyone who attacks other players for buying it needs to take a step back.

I'm just saying, it's not something I'm a fan of personally.

Im not seeing FF14 as a retail game and I know it cost to keep running. We all know this isnt a overhead cost to keep the lights on. I hope you are not that naive. Also if you are paying a sub what are you entitled to if not the content that you are paying for? Is it really entitlement to say "I would like the money that I pay to go towards content as a player?" What if they stop making unique armor and weapons in the game..then are we entitled. Where is the line?
