All ya'll complaining about them charging for stuff that is completely NOT part of completing either the base game or the 'post MSQ game' in any manner.
Everything in the cash shop that IS part of the game, like levels and MSQ completion, can be completed in game...
They charge for fully optional things, because those are just added fun things to get.
Would you rather they be in the situation ArenaNet is with Guild Wars 2? Laying off entire teams every quarter because the folks like you that are over there complained so much about the cash shop that other players also stopped using it... and now the company can't pay the bills...
I would much rather see companies like ArenaNet and SE do well, than suffer layoffs while companies like EA and Activision buy what's left of them in the end and cannibalize it...
The day something shows up in the cash shop that gives an in-game bonus, power, boost, etc that cannot be obtained in game, I will have some sympathy... but until then - I view threads like this as the very reason some of my favorite MMOs have died or are dying...
They give you a good thing, and a game without any pay-to-win; and you slap them in the face for it.

Trying to be edgy would imply that I'm attempting to exert a particular vibe into those who read my posts in order to influence their impressions.
I don't work like that. I just say what I want. If I say the most horrific thing on the planet and you interpret it as me being some jolly guy, then good for you.

Based on?
What motivation is there for Yoshida to lie, especially when there are much better lies to spin than openly admitting our sub fees go to other SE projects? It's one thing to posit something as PR speak, however you need to provide a tangible counter argument beyond "common sense." That isn't an argument, it's putting forth a conspiracy theory and pretending it's fact.
For your argument to work, there needs to be some sort of change from the precedence set—which has yet to happen in six years. If SE were going to adopt obscene micro transactions like EA has done, they'd probably be going it by now. Instead, this is the first exclusive mount they've added in almost a year.

Alright I'm not going to pretend like my assumption is a fact. You might be right, I don't know. The fallacy might have gripped me deeper than I'm aware of, although to some extend you can label any kind of reasoning a fallacy to score a point for your arguments.Based on?

While SE might not have set a precedent (that I'm specifically aware of), other companies have. You can usually see certain patterns returning when it comes to particular business decisions, although I'm willing to bet you can blame that on some kind of fallacy too (justifiably or not). You can also think for yourself and assume what would potentially be the best business decision and that way predict what may ensue.
With PR tricks I meant the claims that Cash Shop is handled by different team and set resources that would never have impacted base game, not the admittance of sub fee going to other SE projects, since I wouldn't doubt that at all.
Mogstation taking another step to the dark side? I think this past was designed to create a heated discussion about items featured on the platform that are nice to have but don't add playability or give anyone an unfair advantage.
OP, congratulations: you've officially dragged us all into your shady abyss. WoD ftw.
I've never had an issue with them putting mounts and glam and stuff on mogstation, but honestly the timing of this is super shady. The mount looks like it would be an event reward, but is released on mogstation same time the event is about to come out.... Instead of giving it to us in the event and then releasing it on mogstation the next year, they just didn't even bother giving it to us in an event at all. Instead we get some stupid rabbit costume as a crappy event reward.
Like man, SE I understand you don't have to buy mogstation stuff but this was just low. Like they couldn't just wait a year and then put them on mogstation?

I bought the Spriggan and immediately cleared all savage and ultimate raids. It's power is undeniable smh SE
LOL! Can you imagine that? 30 dollar a month sub but you get the occasional cosmetic trash spriggan mount every few months. That's some garbage butt poop.Personally, rather keep an easy 15 a month sub and let me pick and choose what additional cosmetic shenanigans I want to buy then pay 30+ a month for stuff Ill probably not be interested in. Even if its 15 more a month, thats an extra 180 a year. I spend maybe 60 on optional items per year at most. Micro transactions arent a disease. Theyre a selling tool that can be good or bad, depending how theyre used. What mogstation does? Thats fine. Selling me gambling proxies or DLC thats just the main game chopped off bits, not fine.

LMAO at cry babies who complain about optional items. Dont like it, dont buy it. How hard is that? BTW, there are 21 mounts and very few seasonal mounts on the shop. Stop acting like all you can get in game is a horse or something. Big cry babies.
