It’s nice when they go back and do a few one-off unlocks on glamour sets but I don’t see it being done for actual gear above level 1. There’s way too much.

That said, a new one-off set of gear designed specifically for your race would be neat. It would be a nice showcase of the racial option we chose and be a spot of variety in a world where the modelers are getting lazy and long eared people who aren’t viera or hrothgar are getting the same hats and helmets as everyone else now and tail holes or gear modeled to not clip through tails are things of the past. I can’t play miqo anymore since the tail clipping jars me on a different level.

You had mentioned that people only complain when things are different between races or genders. That’s kind of a weird argument to make. Of course when there’s an option that some people can’t have, there will be people who complain and want it. And besides, not everyone on the forums is complaining. Just the loud people. And the forums are not representative of the player base either. But making everything the same moving forward just to stop complainers and to stop us from thinking about possible gendered options is kind of a dystopian, boring choice to make. I might want to wear the male versions of some clothes but I’m not going to let it ruin my day and I’d rather dev work be spent in other places where it matters more rather than going back and changing everything.

If you don’t want to look like generic girl #4687, then get more creative with your glamour or accept that it’s a popular look and don’t let it bother you. If I had a problem with other people looking like me, I wouldn’t be viera. Especially since there’s already an established default of dark skin and white hair for previous editions of viera. But I would like to think that I have enough fashion sense to stand out from the crowd when I want to. Yet at the same time, when a neat looking glam or gear option comes out, I don’t mind looking like all the other women for a little bit if I want to dress for myself.
