Though it depends a lot on what kind of helmet they would like to do, if it's ever to be done, since there are 2 types of helmets for Miqo'te.

If it's a helmet with open ears, than it's not much of a problem since they only need to add holes in appropriate places. And since ears itself, no matter their shape, a placed in more or less the same area, this can be worked out well without too much of a hassle even.

Hovewer, if it's a helmet with closed ears - that's where the real issue begins since every helmet would ask for 4 models with sizeable ears in mind. Though frankly speaking, I could quess that players would be fine with having only open ears helmets, as long as it means that they can wear them at all. Not that I can say for sure, since people are different and can have different opinion on this matter.

P.S. Welcome back to Viera squad, I see?
If every viera helmet is open eared, I'm not sure this makes a difference, but I don't know for every single helmet in the game.

The viera ears all stick out of the same point of the head, and even though they can get longer, they don't get thicker/wider, so the ear holes can remain the same across all the models. Though that would depend on if the base of all four ear models are the same, or close enough to make it work. My only hesitation is if there are helmets that have any kind of horn or embellishment that would clip through the ears... in which case there are hats on miquotes that remove the ears entirely, so that could be the compromise to make them wearable.

I'm thinking of the latest cap from the valentiones event, no ear holes for us, and the hat doesn't mold around them, we just lose our ears entirely wearing it. If certain hats would cause clipping issues on viera, they could do the same thing there as a final solution.
