Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I'm sure that this has come up at some point in the 1100 pages so far, but I'd prefer that they put in something like Bangaa over male Viera.

Not that I expect them to do either after their comments about this likely being the last time that they add new races.

Hasn't come up once afaik, and is also very unlikely. Bangaa would take 3 times the work that male Viera would when you consider that their bodies and heads don't match any of the current races.

It's come up a lot of times, actually. People wanting more bestial races is why the Hrothgar were even introduced in the first place.
But Tabbs does have a point in that Bangaa is not very PC/customisation friendly at the moment. Hrothgar already have face/hair customisation issues in that a $10 fantasia is required. Same might be said of bangaa. There's also the gear/armour issue. No helms for the new races atm because of different heads/faces/ears. At least with Hrothgar, they basically share their body model with Roes.

So, bangaa would be cool but just not feasible seeing as they're already struggling with Viera and Hrothgar as PCs, which are much simpler in comparison. (Edit: and yeah, incomplete races. Yoshi-P already stated [twice in fact] that Viera and Hrothgar will likely be the last races we see implemented in the game. So, better to just accept what we got and hope they complete the new races.)

I'd love Female Hrothgar to be added to the game ... but I could see value in them adding something that's not them instead.
I personally would love for them to add in Burmecian as a 2nd small race option AND to be a cute beast race for people who don't wanna be tall cat dudes.

I really don't think we're gonna see either of the genders come this game, feels like a "hope for their Next MMO" type deal 100% for me. But there's a lot of room to improve CC in a future game and having more non-human/ human+animal bits options is a something to hope for.

I can just imagine the outrage right now of SE adding rats instead of male viera/hrothgar - who wouldn't have headgear ("unique heads"), and no shoes either.

It's all about character design.

Yoshi: We heard people's complaints about the limits of a more unique head so with this race we decided to take what we learned from designing them to make one that would easily allow for shared hair and hats and helms! (As in, they could have small semi-rounded ears that come out where Neko ears do so that they can just use that system for the hair and hats ... and they can have smashed in round cute mouse faces with fur and face markings and such ontop of a modified tot body with a selection of tails. Boom, new race that doesn't break any systems in the game ... like Draggos)

Or they could say ef it and also make them a unique head race. I'd accept either.

I've posed the question more than once if people here would be ok with them designing the heads of Female Hrothgar and Male Viera in a way to be compatible with hats/ hairs for the other races cause I would actually really like to know. Cause from a character design PoV I know that Viera currently suffer far more from this set up than Hrothgar when trying to make a unique character and I wonder if people notice.

If the devs wanna keep them mono gendered they will, if they decide they whould be better off using that tiny room for something new like another small race then I can see that happening.

the chances of them adding a new race are very low, and it being before male viera and female hrotgar and having both genders on both races having everything unlocked is astronomically low, to the point where I'd sya is in the negatives

Viera can't even wear hats or even have new hairstyles and we're already halfway through SHB.
Male viera is never happening and I feel bad for people holding out hope.

female viera were never said to be able to wear old hats. Just new ones (I think they not having new event hats is litreal bs tbh). Also, you have no proof to say male viera is never happening
