While the meme is a result of choice the sentiment is still the same. The people with the loud glamours are the ones in the image shouting to get attention, however, we don't have a choice to not look into the hole and not get poked in the eye.

I wish I had this much control over my mind, being able to control how you react to everything you see, focus your attention on exactly what you want. Gonna need couple of silent retreats to reach that stage of concentration.

Before anyone else takes you seriously with your bullying train of thought, let me just remind everyone that the scenario is of the person being screenshotted wearing the default SCH AF gear. The one used in promotional material, the one that nobody would even bat an eyelid if they saw.

Get over yourself please, nobody is going to bully you because you look like a default SCH on one particular persons screen. On top of that, you would be surrounded by other people also in default AF gear, and let me say this for the millionth time, only on the screen of someone who chose that setting.

Harassment is way easier with the tools we currently have. Shall we just remove gpose because someone can edit what you are doing? Should be ban screenshots entirely because you can't handle being in a public space? Should we ban chat because it allows strangers to talk to you?

We have report tools for a reason, and you always run the risk of negativity in a public space whether it be in game or outside of that game. Where do you draw the line? You draw the line at something that doesn't impact you but might impact someone else's play experience.

Get over myself? A person who wants to be able to change other people's clothes without their consent, because they can't bear the thought of differing tastes, is telling me to get over myself? While I'm fine with everyone dressing how they wish? This would be funny if it wasn't so tragic.

I don't want people to be able to take screenshots of my character in a revealing outfit that I did not even put on. And apparently I am unreasonable for this?

I did get harassed a long time ago in WoW, in the days before transmog/glam, by some people who for some reason thought my character was their fantasy. They commented on my character's body because the gear I had on happened to reveal her skin in the places that they liked. It was over quickly with GM intervention, but the point is it happened before and it wasn't only once. By removing my glam and putting me into AF or the default models of my gear, you are removing what little power I have to not go through this again.

I know someone who got harassed through screenshots uploaded to a third party site, again in the days before transmog/glam in WoW. And the GMs could do nothing about it because there was no way for them to figure out who took the screenshots. That player ended up shelfing that character and starting a new one (you couldn't server transfer or change name back then) because that was the only way they could escape the harassment without quitting the game.

I have been playing mmorpgs for a super long time, and I have seen a lot of ugly things and encountered a lot of creepy people. The concerns I voice here don't come from thin air.

Many keep saying "AF gear!" but have a good long look at some of it, and you'll find there are some pieces on females that with the correct camera angles, could easily result in an uncompromising screenshot. And don't start with your "bUt It'S iN pRoMoTiOnAl MaTeRiAl" crap, because that doesn't hold a candle when the argument is whether you want to wear something potentially revealing or not, not whether you think it's bad for promoting the game or not.

Whatever you say, nothing changes that my character is mine, and I don't want my character to be forced to be someone else's fantasy because an option forced her clothes to change into something more revealing without my consent.

That you have chosen to completely ignore this, and then decide to tell me that my concerns over having my character be undressed without my consent are somehow stupid, can only lead me to think that you actually are in support of forcing other people's characters into clothing more revealing than they may actually want.

No, just do not let people control the appearance of other player's characters that could be abused by creeps getting off on seeing something they normally would not be able to see. If this is difficult to understand then frankly you're not qualified to think of the ramifications of allowing players to control the appearance of other people.

Just because you can report something doesn't automatically mean it's fine to bring it into the game. Not only is this essentially saying "it's fine if you get harrassed as long as you can get someone in trouble for doing it" and it is such a messed up thing on its own, but GM tickets actually do cost SE time and money.

I'm sure if any SE staff are reading this they are disappointed in some of the people proposing glam removal. The utter mockery of some of the concerns is honestly very worrying, when you consider the option proposes the control over how someone else looks without their consent. Some of you are pretty much guaranteeing that this will never come to the game due to your attitude alone.

Truthfully, I would not care if the glamour toggle put people into different colored robes(to try to differentiate between jobs). I simply want the option to not have to look upon particularly nonsensical and contextually inappropriate outfits. You may not think I mean this due to my earlier replies, but I am sorry you and your friend got harassed. I am not advocating for this to feed any fantasy that is lewd in nature; only my Final Fantasy swords and high sorcery experience. Truthfully, the flat butts and breasts on avatars in this game wouldn't lend itself much to sexual arousal anyways, at least in my opinion.

To clarify your post, because I know somebody will completely misinterpret what you are saying, Contextually inappropriate does not mean offensive. It means a glamour that does not make sense in the context of the Warrior of Light's MSQ character (which despite how you role play, they still have a defined character as a mighty hero and savior). You are there fighting Hades or Innocence in the story, tension and emotions are high, and your party zones in and you have a frog man, a pig man, a cloud cosplayer and someone wearing seasonal gear from christmas. I don't think anyone would be offended by this, but it does lessen the impact of the moment. I doubt the lack of this change is a deal breaker for anyone, but the option is nice to have.

Anyone who knows my opinion on this matter from previous posts might be shocked to learn that I would never ever use this feature if it was in the game, I like seeing other peoples glamour. My stance is that denying someone who would use this feature a better play experience at no expense to anyone else is wrong, and that's why I fully support this feature.

Perhaps you need practice, may I suggest doing so by partying up with people whose glamours you don't like?
