Bro, did I get you right...did you just equate your humanity to how your character look...on someone else's screen no less? You're completely missing my point.
I don't care what someone else sees on their screen. That has no bearing on me whatsoever. If this was a single player game, I wouldn't care about this topic, nor would I have ever posted in this thread.
However, this is an MMO. It's a Genre built upon social interactions and all that entails. Strip that away and you're left with an honestly pretty crummy action RPG with a slow burner of a storyline and amazing music
I am against an option that both dehumanises other players without a very good reason and dilutes the very core of what an MMO is.
(Abusive behaviour is a good reason, A Roe in a dress is not a good reason, sorry)
Can I be any clearer on that? Regardless of if it's your cup of tea or not, strip away the uniqueness of other players around you and you might as well be running around in a server full of NPCs. That's not an experience I relish TYVM.
Is anything more dehumanizing than being told that your choice doesn't matter because someone else has decided they should make it for you?
You're ignoring that the human behind the other screen has, for whatever reason, decided they don't want to see your glams. It doesn't matter if their reasoning is petty or dumb, it's still a human making a choice, and people deciding they shouldn't be allowed to make their own choices.
