Child-like characters?

I'll not mince words about it. I find erp with child like characters disgusting. Giving people the option would just lead to that as an inevitability. I do not see how that is a double edge sword, particularly since i'm in favor of current children in game being aged up.

Same goes with Lalafell.

I know i wouldn't mind their deletion. As someone who has a love for fantasy art, seeing armor previews on a Lalafell always sours my day. I mean half the armor is gone, how is that a preview?!?!

But that's not going to happen. Lalafell are in and we're stuck with the spuds now, just like the flea bags that are Hrothgar, just like the impossibility of child like playable races. At least i can enjoy not walking into Limsa and not child erp for the foreseeable future. One out of three, i'll take what i can get at this point.

The glam in this game aint got NOTHIN' on other MMOs that go all out on sexual outfits AND there's loli/ kid like races in them. PSO 2 comes to mind.

There was definitely an uncomfortable amount of people who liked making underage-looking characters and dressing them in the lewdest outfits possible from the years I spend with PSO2.

I don't think devs ever really consider the negative possibilities that can spawn from having a flexible character creator, though. Games like Tera that specifically have childish-looking races seem to be more frequently subject to scrutiny as those have gotten censorship applied to outfits that would've been considered too lewd for minors when they were localized.

Would it matter? Just block and move on. Is ERP a banable offense for that matter? Could i report it? Being that you seem interested in ERP and child playable races, it seems you may know a thing or two about the subject.

You and everyone against it kept bringing up ERP and violence as a reason as to why you don't want to see it. How the game would be shut down. I personally stated quite a few times that I don't care what some perve is doing in the game. I just want my cute character, be it an upgraded small race or better character customization. And I asked that question because at first, you're basically saying that you want Lalafells and Hrothgar out of the game. That Lalafells are kids that need to be aged up. And I'm sure they did along with quite a few other games that have characters like that. My bigger point was that they never shut the game down because of it. I can't ignore that they are bringing a global version of it to PS4 after all that. People are still hyping that game regardless, especially now that we can play it in the west. And who knows maybe there will be more outfits modified to help out with making peeps more at ease and honestly I wouldn't care. The game looks cool and I have always wanted to try it.

I honestly felt my attitude for their deletion was evident of my disdain for them, Lala i mean. However their proportions are not those of children, as they are exaggerated to comical proportions. No, i would not be ok with Lala erp, i think it's disgusting, happy to not see it often. The idea that people role play as children and do such things is reprehensible. Dancing around issues has never been my strong suit. Your reading something that isn't there, i have no qualms saying what i think or feel.

As for you not caring about the ramifications, that's fine. Just like the fact it wont happen. It has been addressed and the matter closed.

I never really got the Thancred/Minifila shippers before when Thancred was more of a father figure to her, but I could at least sorta see it. With Ryne I'm utterly baffled that anyone would read anything romantic into that or want them to get together.

I'm writing a fanfiction where I ship Ryne with Thancred. Because of the time dilation between our home world and the world we are visiting, Thancred and the Scions manage to get back to their real bodies and return to the fight against the Garleans. It has only been months for the Scions while Ryne has spent a decade researching a way to safely transport her body to our world. Upon traveling to our world and getting lost, leads her on a journey of self discovery and Ryne realizes that what she's feeling towards Thancred isn't simple familial love, but something much deeper.

Will this one sided love ever be returned? Will Ryne ever muster up the courage to tell Thancred she loves him when she finally finds the Scions? If Thancred does return Rynes love, will he hate himself for "betraying" Minfilia his last lover?

I suppose the fact that some people believe it's appropriate to speak freely about such things on a public forum is proof enough that the development team have done well to take the stance that they have embraced.

And hopefully with their next MMO, they will see it fit to either make no such races, or to design them as incontrovertibly non-human as possible, e.g. Ivalician moogles.
