Child-like characters?

What is interesting is I looked at the children on the Azim Steps compared to my male lalafel. So the children look slightly talled than the tallest lalafell, and the model seems to be skinny like an au ra would be.

So I don't think there would be any way to make such a child model that wouldn't make them look around 12 years old.

As for the twins, I think it's a mix of not only the model but their personality. They don't act like children, and even I see them nearing their 20s

This is a game with a good chunk of a player base that sees Lalafells as kids or even toddlers because of their height alone. In the same breath, there are plenty of people who makes jokes about cooking them alive, punting them across Eorzea or even just slapping them because of reasons. But I thought they were kids in your eyes? Why are you being so openly violent towards them if you see them as kids? Oh wait, it's because SE did a great job of NOT treating them like kids. The same way they don't treat the twins as kids. People will say that "oh their personality is adult-like and that's why they get their arses kicked left and right." And for some, they even think Alisaie is flirting with their character. No pitchforks. Nothing is shut down and SE even told you to read that however you want. You want some underage character to be crushing over your adult character or even a Lala you can. You want to see her as an overly protective sister you can. Everyone seems to just magically be ok with this. Along with magically being ok with Lalas marrying ANY race in this game regardless of how they appear. There's some folk who would even say they're Lalafell-sexual and oh look, no pitchforks. That level inconsistency is just hilarious to me. I don't see Lalafells as kids but I can't ignore the number of people who like to argue that they are kids. I always saw them as a chibi dwarf and that's it.

But somehow, a big scary perverted guy can shut down a whole game just like that. Hm. I have never seen that happen. The glam in this game aint got NOTHIN' on other MMOs that go all out on sexual outfits AND there's loli/ kid like races in them. PSO 2 comes to mind. None of them has been shut down and if anything people complained (just like here) about the lack of content before even remotely caring about the races. But in those games, the players just know to not let pervs stop them from playing what they want. To dress and behave how they want. And the developers back them by releasing more stuff into their games with no care at all. But you guys do you.

I will just focus more on that this game needs far better customization. It's hilarious that F2P mobile games are starting to have better customization then this game.

Would also like to point out the devs are NEVER going to add any more customization to this game, ever. For some reason, they can’t (or won’t) do it. So, whenever the next FF mmo is announced, we just have to hope it includes everything FFXIV was lacking.

I'm very much aware that we would most likely have to wait for an entire new FF MMORPG to see anything close to what F2P games have been pulling off for a while now. Honestly, I stopped expecting much when they released Viera and Hrothgar. I don't expect them to release much in regards to character customization. But if somehow they fount whatever resources and funding that they needed to add them and maintain them, I would definitely be one of the people asking for either a short race or better customization as a whole. Or both.

The only reason why I'm even in this thread is I cannot believe the amount of people creating double-edged swords as a way to keep this game perfect in their eyes. If you wanted to simply say you just don't like short races, fine. But to go as far as to say PR and some perve or whatever nonsense is why they shouldn't add short/child-like races in if they ever considered doing so, is BS. SE stating their own double edge statement only made it worse. But as I said, you do you.

I think they mean character creator options, not races itself. And well, in this regard there are plenty of games that have more flexible tools. From something at least somewhat new - Black Desert Online (that was even released on phones not long ago) - the whole aesthetic is quite meh in my opinion, but the character creator is not bad in terms of what it can offer to the player.
From more or less old games Aion, Blade and Sould or Revelation Online are good examples of flexible character creators, customizations options wise.
If we had something like this without changing the overal design of the game it would give people a lot of material to work with. Though probably will never happen, mostly because it's a major overhaul of what we have now in creator.

I'll not mince words about it. I find erp with child like characters disgusting. Giving people the option would just lead to that as an inevitability. I do not see how that is a double edge sword, particularly since i'm in favor of current children in game being aged up.

Same goes with Lalafell.

I know i wouldn't mind their deletion. As someone who has a love for fantasy art, seeing armor previews on a Lalafell always sours my day. I mean half the armor is gone, how is that a preview?!?!

But that's not going to happen. Lalafell are in and we're stuck with the spuds now, just like the flea bags that are Hrothgar, just like the impossibility of child like playable races. At least i can enjoy not walking into Limsa and not child erp for the foreseeable future. One out of three, i'll take what i can get at this point.

I'm going to take you back to the first major MMORPG I ever played. Perfect World International. They recently remade that game into mobile and I must say it looks stunning. But what brought back the nostalgic jokes surrounding that game where the comments related to it. How we used to spend 2 freakin hours customizing our characters in character creator. You could make, LITERALLY, whatever you wanted with their character customization. Want some wierd alien fox chick? You could make it. Wanted to see if you can create your all-time favorite celebrity? People were either spot on or close. It was insane. To this day, I have yet to have found a game that was on that level. Black Desert is the closest I have seen to be able to do that. But with all the eastern aesthetics it makes it hard for me to see that game on the same level. And I will add the fact that I haven't played that game myself to see the full extent of what you can make.

As for another? For the first time, I am actually getting hyped up to play an upcoming Mobile MMORPG called Dragon Raja. That game has both presets AND sliders for your character. Most would say it competes with BnS. Both of those games show far more variety of what you can create than this game. Do I hate the way my characters look? No. But do I wish they would get with the times and update it. Hell yes. We can't even wear glasses and a hat for goodness sake. And yet in Dragon Raja , a mobile game, you can have a hat, glasses and carry an umbrella...and then there's this game...

As for your loli comment, just lol. If you want to blanket an entire group of people who like to play small races/loli/shota as ERP lovers, be my guest. It just opens the doors for everyone to blanket everyone.
