Also, another players banishment on a Reddit forum has no bearing on your own gameplay, nor any other account that does not belong to you. Move on.
What if I have to ask myself if it's ok to even talk to anyone at all? This is meant to be a social game, and the direction being taken is making myself (and clearly others) uncomfortable even existing. What if my appearance offends someone? What if my orientation triggers someone? Is that a bannable offense? It may cause them distress, so who knows. Only SE can know, and even they can't seem to define it consistently. What is and is not acceptable proof? The current answer is "whatever they feel like in the moment", and that's unacceptable.

"Also, another players banishment on a Reddit forum has no bearing on your own gameplay, nor any other account that does not belong to you. Move on." This sounds like you telling people what they can and cannot talk about. I find that a bit rude honestly.

But when push comes to shove, they will run away and hide, then point to the ToS and say they didn't break any rules while saying it is clearly okay for them to do what they are doing and act the way they act.

The ToS is fine the way it is. Learn some morals and practice common sense.
How are they to learn these "Morals" if they are not taught? Did your parents punish you for doing something as a child, and then refuse to tell you what the specific action was that you did and why it was bad? I think not.

Is the goal of the ToS to ban all players the mods dislike, or is it to reform people into better players for the platform?

You should have a basic understanding of normal civil behaviour, the kind you would you use at a normal professional place.

Will children possess this? Because children play the game. This also dodges the point of my previous point. Punishment for punishments sake does nothing to address the underlying problem. Rehabilitation is the only sustainable path forward.

I'm pretty sure this game has a minimum age you can be to play by which age they should be able to behave as a reasonable person if not then they shouldn't be playing. No you agreed to abide by there ToS, you can't they can and should take action

I don't expect anyone under the age of 21 to behave to any particular standard. I have no way of knowing their life experiences. As such, teaching them why what they did is wrong and why they shouldn't do it again, is the appropriate response. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

You agree to uphold there ToS when you agree to play, given there ToS boils down to be civil that's not much of an ask. It's not SE's job to teach you how to interact in a civil manner.

But it is their job to remove paying customers from the game? Would it not be better to reform them? Both from a monetary standpoint (more revenue from subs), and from a player base standpoint (more people in queue's)?
