I don't expect anyone under the age of 21 to behave to any particular standard. I have no way of knowing their life experiences. As such, teaching them why what they did is wrong and why they shouldn't do it again, is the appropriate response. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

Honestly, its refreshing to see the ban hammer brought down hard on a toxic player. For god's sake, how hard is it to follow the 13th Commandment: Thou Shalt Not Be a Jerk? Karma is a real thing, kiddos.

Good. He deserved punishment, this is why parsers are not allowed in public, it brings toxicity. Don't like how others play? Make your own FC and run premade groups instead or keep quiet about it. Harrasing someone over stream only brings his toxic fanbase to hunt down and harrass the player too which Square in this case stopped.

That would be a great idea for WoW's next expansion. He's currently serving an eternity of torment in WoW's version of Hell, which is one of the places players will be going in Shadowlands.

To answer your question here: NO, it is not the job of the company to 'reform' anyone. They have a TOS and they uphold it. You agree to the TOS when you login to the game, when you 'rent time' in the game. And honestly, if you can't be a decent person when you're around others... that isn't their problem. The moment you are a problem in their space to others... they have every reason to remove you from it. They are not your parents and it is not their duty or job to be. If your parents didn't do a good enough job teaching you how to behave... OH WELL.

How will you clear content if everyone who cares about their in game performance can no longer play? I'm pretty sure it'll be rather difficult to do anything beyond low level dungeons with everyone whos left.

It's not even just raiders who you want to get rid of. RPers, Casual players, pretty much everyone.

Are you implying that pretty much everyone uses a parser? Or are you implying that pretty much no one who doesn't use a parser can easily clear content beyond low level dungeons?
