Personally I'd like to see more support spells with healers where they can buff their allies. Especially if they want to continue down this design philosophy of simplifying damage because after three expansions we suddenly aren't supposed to focus on doing damage anymore. Spells like Afflatus Misery that use a class mechanic like blood lily to nuke the target just feels out of place to me in the role of healer. I know this sentiment probably isn't shared with the rest of the community but I'd rather see it provide say a 5% haste/damage/crit buff to the group.
So swapping out spamming a damage skill on the boss with a buff skill on an ally? Sounds like nothing changes, and now our performance is tied to somebody else instead of our own skill.
And what of MSQ content? Just sit there buffing while our chocobo auto attacks everything to death? That sounds boring as hell.

No thanks, I'll take a more interesting damage kit any and every day.
