Oh no, I'm 140 comms short.
Being a DPS is hard. :c
Good morning,
Here I was thinking I wasn't too far off of becoming a PvE mentor..... 1,500 player commendations is a lot and so is 1,000 instances completed. I do not think it is fair to have such extreme requirements for PvE but, from what I hear and know, Trade Mentor requirements are still vastly easier.
I also do not like how current mentors will be grandfathered in. Mentors should be maintaining their status with each change and / or increase in requirements. If the current issue is congestion in the Novice Network, then grandfathering in people will not fix or even alleviate the issue. People who put forth the work to maintain their mentor ship, should stay Mentors. While those who do not, should loose access to the channel and ability.
As a PvE focused player, I do not like this change. Just made the goal for helping folks in PvE that much harder to achieve than it already is in time comparison to other methods.
Your friendly neighborhood gamer.
As stated many times before since this system came out - you do not need the Burger King crown to be a mentor and guide others.
The crown is probably there for new people to freely ask them. Maybe it should be changed to a book so people know they might have some knowledge to impart instead of a crown like they're better than you. (And no, I don't hate mentor, I used to be one in my old character, just think it's not living up to its potential.)
Absolutely.
I've met people with no icon let alone sprouts who offer better insight then Burger King crowns.
I'll be preaching it to the day this game ends, they should have made the crown a watering can. That way it would shut down most of the people who think it's cool to have a dinky crown near their name and stick with the sprout/flower motif.

Of course you do not; however, a single chat that other sprouts are in and where questions can be answered while doing other things, is vastly easier than hanging around in the starting zones and watching PF looking for those parties. It's unarguably easier and convenient to assist folks in a single chat vs. going out looking for it.
Also, I didn't really like how the NN was on Mateus when I was a sprout but if you want to make a change for the better of something, be the change to start it.

If I may ask how did this make your goal of "helping folks . . . harder to achieve"Good morning,

Edit nvm saw that you answered another poster.
Gating the mentor status behind an arbitrary number of commendations is just plain stupid as long as it's not required to give a commendation at the end of an instance.
