If you are going to do a Live Letter

I honestly dont care if you call me whiney just because I want to have all the informations that one side of the playerbase gets and the other dont. The slides are nice but Yoshida often says something more to it. Sometimes he explains it more deeply or talks about how this and that dont apply. Stuff that would be lost if we only had the slides. And pure fan translations are great but can have mistakes too which then gives people wrong impressions on stuff.

There was a time where we got at least some posts by the community team as the lifeletter was going on but even that was changed into something that will come out way later.

Nope. Trust me, I watch the LLs and I understand Japanese. He doesn't really go any deeper into detail. In fact, in some cases he actually ends up saying less about it than the slides do (he often has to be reminded of the info on the slides).

Again, all the important, pertinent info is on the slides.

And again, we DO get a more or less full translation of the LLs a little while later. Generally not more than a week. Which is perfectly fine, since none of the extra stuff is important.

You mean like the last Live Letter where the digest came out one month latter (and on the date of the patch discussed in it) ?
That is not "a little while later".

I don't personally recall the last one in particular. There is a reason I used the word "generally", and not "absolutely".

While I don't expect them to have a live update, especially for a Live Letter for Tokyo Game Show, the update thread would have been nice.

And I have seen and read lifeletters where there was much more information about a system not on the slides. I do remember for example when he was talking once about the new housing changes and how it would affect players.

Then there was the issue with the Viera and Hrothgar hairstyles which were also not on slides (but I think that was on some event?). The reddit translation said that we wont get the other hairstyles but new ones for these two races and a poster here said that this is not true and Yoshida stated that we would get them for at least the Viera. Had we an official translation then these different fan translations would not be a thing.

Dang, I read that original translation and thought I wouldn't be getting my bought hairstyles on Viera, so I switched back to Miqo'te. I'd still be Viera if I knew that they were going to release those hairstyles eventually for them XD

Maybe I'll switch back when they release those hairstyles for Viera. R. I. P $14 EU (Which is $24 NZD T^T)
