I was really looking forward to casually leveling my alts I havent touched since ARR without having to grind the same time gated content that I've done to death at this point. I'm rather surprised that so many here feel so strongly that it needs to be either purely for leveling or purely for story. Giving us exp from playing the quests at the intended level would give us all the best of both.

Those looking to replay the great story will be able to do so and those that want to level their alt jobs differently from how they've been doing it for the past 4 years will have the option as well.

I think the general pushback is against the "NG+ is utter trash now unless you get that sweet EXP/rewards" PoV. I think someone argued why they would even spend resources on it if it doesnt give you exp and everyones gonna hate it. If it has exp, well thats the devs choice. I dont think thats wise for the game's health overall (unless they do a co-op version of MSQ - which would be cool btw. Dunno how itd work, but still). Generally, the response is simply "Who cares if it has exp or not, but stop calling it trash if youre not happy if it might not."
