Dont ever recall them stating youd get exp and rewards with it. Again, this point was not a typical point brought up in most discussions regarding NG+. It almost always was about being able to replay parts of FFXIV, not be a tool for leveling. So as far as I know, they never hyped the feature as a means of leveling. They hyped it as "Hey, you can replay some of your favorite MSQ stuff," and left it at that. Anything beyond that is the playerbase hyping it.

Beyond this, I do wonder if people even consider the ramifications of adding exp to it? Far as I know, theyve never said it wont give exp (I could be mistaken), but if there was 0 consequence to having exp and everything going for it do it that way, the devs wouldve just added that aspect. But I suspect that why you dont get exp is that itd screw with other leveling aspects of the game to much.

I'll reiterate what I posted from earlier. The first twenty one quests (70-71) awards 10,060,00 Million EXP. This is more than the MSQ Roulette at a comparable level. In fact, it's nearly the equivalent Mt. Gulg offers. If you skipped every cut scene, it'd likely take less than a half hour, thus making NG+ the best leveling method by a landslide. And you could then restart and get that 10M+ all over again with no limitations.

I'll be kind of disappointed if they don't have exp rewards. I remember when has come up in the past on the forums here, a big reason people wanted it was to give more variety in leveling alt classes so it wasn't just a grind fest. It does seem the perfect thing they could do to encourage people to have more than one class. It doesn't have to give the other rewards, but I think they're missing an opportunity if it doesn't help level alt classes.

And this thread proves i was right? Lots of people came here to express their disappointment. I know there are people who will be happy with just replaying the story. But do you know that that is not everyone? Are you this ok with denying others a feature they could enjoy? Why?

If that is the case, and i have my doubts, then what exactly is your problem? If the exploit is happening already having new game + give XP rewards would change absolutely nothing. So, again, why are you adamant in denying people a feature they could enjoy? I mean, just the fact that you think the game should now be designed with everything the bots do in mind is ridiculous. Should we also remove mob drops from the overworld? Shall we remove quest cause bots do them? Should we remove gathering nodes cause bots farm them? Just stop.
The bots are a problem on squeenix back end and that is where it needs to be fixed. Not in the game design.



Oh keep your shinies. I want to have the experience of leveling my job through the story back. It was supported by the game on the first job. But, apparently, i have to be forced into those options you listed without any choice even though the feature is right there. I cannot be allowed to enjoy a different method. Why? I think it's funny how peeps that say this are actually agreeing the feature is useless the way it is. You want to do the story? Roll an Alt character. Same situation buddy. Who are you to deny people that would like to get xp? This is the feedback being left here and the fact you are contrarian does not change the fact people want it.

I don't know exactly how this feature is going to work, but I do know that if I want to take on Raubahn again in that friendly bout in the ring of fire, it's not going to take me anywhere near as long as it does to get a new character to 60 and get to that point in the MSQ.

There's a group of yes-men trying to talk those of us that are dissatisfied from express our views. That is toxicity. Some will use the feature honestly. But it will be a very select group, because you only have to think about it. If there is no progression in the system it's a system that will compete for attention with systems that actually progress your character, wich is basically the rest of the game. Maybe you should take a moment, re-read your comments in this thread, and see that people are being combative because you haven't been pleasant in the slightest.

Your desire for wanting XP or rewards in New Game Plus is allowed. Me saying I don't care and I just want to replay the story is allowed. I'm no more right than you are. In the end, these forums are to express opinions, and no one opinion is more important than the other. Also, if people don't use the feature...that's their personal choice.

This was designed for players (like me) who play this game mainly for the story experience, which is why I play a STORY-based MMO...if the story didn't exist, I wouldn't even bother with this game and I am not alone in that.

You need to re-think your approach and realize you can express your desire to gain something without putting others down who don't agree with you.

I do love the irony. Now people who fancy this feature and never cared about the EXP gains are just yes-men ignoring the ample pushback despite only the second post, which now boasts 53 likes, saying:

People have been wanting to replay the story without creating alts for ages. Exp or no, new game plus won’t be useless & will make a lot of people happy.

And that's only one post. Meanwhile, your post on that same page as the highest like count from the opposing side with only 18.

Normally, this would be fine. We all are entitled to our opinions. Except... apparently not, according you. Because anyone who dares support this feature without EXP is simply kissing up to SE. If I'm to be honest, you know very well your stance isn't the majority and that bothers you for some reason.
