Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I don't need them to "address" issues by glazing over them, I need them to fix them before I ever go back to the new races. They are in the planning stages of the next expansions now so I personally don't think it would be a bad thing to say:

"We messed up by genderlocking the races. It will take some time but we'll work on delivering both of the missing genders as playable in later patches/6.0/7.0/8.0/whatever. Thank you for your input and support."

Transparency and clarity of what is going on is something that has really frustrated me in the last few months with this game. I remember all of those events and people saying to not worry when yeah, every single one of us who spent money to fantasia to the new races should have been worried about how limited they would be (and potentially remain.) If they don't deliver some good news or start working on more things that interest me there's option D: leaving until I see a reason worth coming back for.

They don't need reminders, people have already been vocal about it. At this point its white noise, they can't promise it will happen. Repeating the same addressed question doesn't do anything.
Fanart is nice (Although some of the Tumblr art isn't in my taste) but it doesn't do anything either.
The thread has less pull then you might believe. And if anybody is actually monitoring the thread, I bet they'd be quite turned off by some of the discussion here.

You're not asking for a fix, your asking for the other Genders. They made One gender for both, this isn't asking for a fix, this is asking for an addition. And your not saying it, but Imma guess you want more Hairstyles. (Which once again....they ALREADY addressed is happening) If not, I apologize for putting words in your mouth.
Lets say you get your way and they say exactly that....they have just locked themselves into a Promise. They just said they ARE/PLAN to do so/so. What if they can't? What if there is a limitation for X reason? Are we gonna be nice to them and be understanding, or is the exact same thing gonna happen where people badmouth the Dev team?

I don't think the thread itself or the discussion within the thread has much pull. However, I do think the number of likes on the OP does have some pull.

As for tumblr art, I don't really browse that, but I think I know what you mean? Like the lacey outfits on male viera? I don't like that, either. I don't really care much about how male viera's racial outfit might look since I'll just change it anyway.

Change wont happen either if they cant do it. Which is why Yoshi said they Cant say it will or wont happen.

Yoshi P said the team was going to look into feedback, and examine the "temperature" of this request in an interview. If we're not vocal, it'll go "cold" for a lack of a better word. Since he said they are willing to look at feedback, I think it's best to be vocal.

We don't know for sure if the dev can or can't do it, but judging by some interviews, it doesn't seem like the genders or even new races are entirely off the table.

A) Short answer is we haven’t made a decision on that. The reason why we can’t say for sure. We need to optimize our work flow with the existing races and the new ones. After that, perhaps we do the other gender. But we don’t know right now.

We did consider Male Viera instead of adding an extra race, but we tried to take player feedback on adding a more beast like race as well as the strong desire to receive Viera. We did expect strong feedback on the gender lock. It was a tough decision, but we decided to do our best to meet both the player feedback and our development team’s vision. It will be very costly to add a new race or genders. So I won’t say no, but I would not like to set expectations high."

Q) With Viera and Hrothgar being the last new races to be introduced to the game, are there any plans on adding more base customization options to the established races?

A) As long as it doesn't affect the shape of the body or the different faces, and if these are in fact the last races that we are going to be adding, then there is a possibility that we might expand on that customizable element. If the customization involves changing the shape of the face or the body, we would have to address all the different gear that the characters can equip and with the sheer volume of how much gear we have, we would have to go in and manually update. It is quite difficult. Rather than that, we might have to look at it when we cross the bride, but if it is a customization option that significantly changes the shape of the races body, I think we would be better off to tackle the challenge of just introducing a new playable race all together instead.

If we're talking about how male viera should look, I think that's something the devs should decide. However, I personally prefer something more elegant, handsome, and slim, rather than bulky like highlander. I think an example of elegant, handsome, and slim would be like the high elves from tera online. Essentially, I'd prefer a bishounen type character, with a face similar to miqo'te (just like how the females have a rabbit-like nose).

I still consider the new races as such so no I don't think it's more of an addition, rather than a fix so everything can be up to par with the quality of the other races.
