[Petition] Remove Genderlocked Costumes

I am not against girls having some cool male outfits but I am against males getting female clothing the ones I listed why?

You don't want to play a girl but want to dress like a girl defeats the purpose.

Odd that women can dress like men but men dressing like women nope can't be having that! Anyways I dress my male toon like a bloke but some of the female npc gear would look alright on male characters like gloves and shoes. I love the scion healers thigh boots but alas can only wear them on my lass.

I want to ask a question.
if a gay guy doesn't like females, why do they want female stuff to dress or pretend to be a girl to go after another guy who dresses and pretends to be a girl but dislike that stuff? Just wondering

Why not create a girl character? I mean you already want to dress like one what is the purpose?

you might say its not fair that girls get stuff but guys do and vise versa and yeah I am okay with with girls maybe wearing a tidus outfit or other gear guys seem to wear some girls are tom boys.

problem is guys always want what doesn't seem right, I a while back when this first was brought up, girl panties, skirts, dress's, bikini outfits and such this isn't about outfits for some people that's why I ain't cool with that.

now if its the outfit they just came out with in the store sure but yuna's dress NO.

I ain't trying to cause issues but there is a line that in games that shouldn't be crossed.

Also yeah girls could get away with wearing guy stuff, I can't imagine me waking up in morning slipping on a pair of my girls panties and bra to have a morning cup of coffee before i go to work or even a dress.

but some people do that now days but they go through all the work to become a girl and which leads to my question why not create a girl character

Gender expression and gender identity are two very different things to answer all of your concerns about "who would want this rather than not making a female avatar?", and to assume all who want to wear dresses as guys are into men is odd. To add (in case you are worried about it) there will be no one, literally no one, forcing YOU to wear said Yuna dress as a male character and this is a game where people go in part to escape the boundaries of real life, why not letting them do so? It will literally cause no harm to anyone if they only do it to future stuff (I understand the amount of resources it would take to remake everything already in the game for this and understand that that might be an unrealistic thing to ask for).

While this is not a feature I would use personally as I am happy with being a girl avatar and wearing girl clothes, I can see people who are not pleased with this and do support their ability to more freely express themselves as self-expression is something I have learned the hard way is very important for people.

I am very curious what you mean with meeting in the middle of the road here as when I see some people saying that on this topic they literally mean to maintain status quo despite status quo exclusively sucking for one side while exclusively benefiting the other side. I don't think you do, but I would love to hear your reasoning on this as my personal opinion of where the middle of the road is on this matter is that you wear what glamour you want and I wear what glamour I want and that Roebro with a tutu wears whatever glamour he wants and we all respect each other over it despite having disagreements about how it looks, which we all have the right to do.

But yes, the moment someone tries to take away your right to think that something doesn't look good there IS a problem, however, there is also a huge problem when you try to restrict people based on what you think looks good on them, especially in a video game. I can understand it if you own a company and want said company to have a certain cohersive theme/style to receive customers better, but this argument in my opinion hardly works for an MMORPG, especially not one with such a massive wardrobe as FFXIV.

Pick one. You're either with, against or indifferent.

I'll just chalk it up to you of guys being against female clothing
because it pains you to see other men wearing stuff I guess.
I have not seen anyone asking for men to straight up wear bra's and panties.

My Lord this post is just a whole load of Yikes. First, why are you assuming gay men have anything to do with this? And you're assuming predatory behaviour is the intention behind this? Or some sort of fetish? Wow.

Why, also, are you even bringing up cross-dressing in the real world? You are aware this is a video game, right?

Posts like this just baffle me. For starters, men can already wear dresses - WHM level 80 armour for example. The world hasn't ended as a result, so there's nothing wrong with un-restricting some more 'female' stuff. Secondly, even if for some few they'd like to be a man in a dress because they think it's 'hot', why is that bad? We can play a female character clad in a bikini or a maid outfit. This just proves my previous post's points, honestly.

Being misogynist and gay are both different things, gays don't feel sexual atraction for the opposite sex, misogynist don't like woman.

You okay with girls wearing male outfit but not okay with male wearing girls outfit?, that's funny. People don't need your permit to feels "right" or not, they should use what they want.

And that "line" the games should cross, it's a MMO and people should be allowed to be what they want to be, especially if they can't do this in real life for many reasons so theu could be it at least in a fantasy world. Religion stuff and concepts sould be out of that.

I'm not LGBT and yet Genderlock must over to me, there's some female outfit design that looks way better than males ( and i'm not even talking about dress like a "girl" ), if you don't like men wearing women outfit don't wear it, that's simple, don't "cross" your line. Even if it was a desire for "gay people only" there's many LGBTs playing this game and to be honest most of people i've met in this game are LGBTs, and they deserve to be represented, they are players like us. There's no one forcing you to wear female outfits, so don't force people to use the male ones.
