'Nobody' is a bit of a stretch. I used the male bun outfit when I was a male Miqo. Just because the majority of people don't use a thing doesn't make the thing pointless, anyway.

Femroes are a pretty small minority. Guess Square should just stop modeling outfits for them. Oh but wait, it's not truly a 'resource' issue for some folks, it's purely that they can't handle seeing men in 'female' clothing, right. I see this in every MMO - people get their dead-eyed eye candy bikini waifus but could never handle seeing someone else get their eye candy because it makes them uncomfortable. Certainly not true for everyone, not even everyone on this thread, but don't pretend for one second that it's not a widespread way of thinking. Let people have their options. It's a video game, it won't kill you to see a dress on a man. I don't like seeing female Miqos in skin-colored bikinis but it doesn't matter, it isn't my character. I just won't dress my bun like that - I won't tell that person they can't wear glams I don't like.

Sorry this got a bit ranty, sensitive topic for me and I am so tired of the hints of 'I got mine, go !kupo! yourself' and weird attitudes about women's clothing.

We can get rid of gender locks as soon as they add in the female equivalents of all of the male protagonist gear they've added for veteran rewards and events.

None of those items are gender locked, so that's already done! Unless you mean you want, like, Rinoa's outfit added in alongside Squall's and so on, which I'd love to see too...as long as everyone could wear it.

The FFX and XIII costumes really ought to be unlocked as well. I dunno about the body, but I'll be salty until the end of time that I can't use Yuna's sleeves. And I'd definitely find uses for Lightning's gear and hair. They might have to make some minor alterations to the Tidus chest piece to make it work on females, but given it was a paid item (and will be again soon if the minions from that event being put on the mogstation is any indication), they have little excuse not to put in the effort.

Anyways I dress my male toon like a bloke but some of the female npc gear would look alright on male characters like gloves and shoes. I love the scion healers thigh boots but alas can only wear them on my lass.

if a gay guy doesn't like females, why do they want female stuff to dress or pretend to be a girl to go after another guy who dresses and pretends to be a girl but dislike that stuff? Just wondering

you might say its not fair that girls get stuff but guys do and vise versa and yeah I am okay with with girls maybe wearing a tidus outfit or other gear guys seem to wear some girls are tom boys.

now if its the outfit they just came out with in the store sure but yuna's dress NO.

Also yeah girls could get away with wearing guy stuff, I can't imagine me waking up in morning slipping on a pair of my girls panties and bra to have a morning cup of coffee before i go to work or even a dress.

Which is fair I s'pose. I guess I don't see the issue if a guy in game wants to wear panties or a bra. I mean yeah it looks silly but then so does the chocobo and frog outfits and flying bed and elephant mounts. If a hrothgar wants to dress like a pretty princess I personally don't see the issue it's a high fantasy game but that's just me.

Gender expression and gender identity are two very different things to answer all of your concerns about "who would want this rather than not making a female avatar?", and to assume all who want to wear dresses as guys are into men is odd. To add (in case you are worried about it) there will be no one, literally no one, forcing YOU to wear said Yuna dress as a male character and this is a game where people go in part to escape the boundaries of real life, why not letting them do so? It will literally cause no harm to anyone if they only do it to future stuff (I understand the amount of resources it would take to remake everything already in the game for this and understand that that might be an unrealistic thing to ask for).

While this is not a feature I would use personally as I am happy with being a girl avatar and wearing girl clothes, I can see people who are not pleased with this and do support their ability to more freely express themselves as self-expression is something I have learned the hard way is very important for people.

Really this entertainment is included in your subscription. Don't worry the developers for this game have their heads screwed on and will make and do what they deem appropriate and I trust their judgement personally.

I don't subscribe to the letting guys wear dresses crowd but there are lots of things that could be multi gender that aren't. I also think that any gender conformity should be applied to new items given the developers should be using their time to create new content as well as fix things like headgear and hairstyles for the new races. It's obvious their plates are more than full atm.
