Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I think that we will probs get a super lazy and kinda unfinished missing genders at 6.0 so they can say they have full races bring in new players and fantasia money and call it a day, and they seem to really not care that much about the new races, considering that they still havent even given us a headgear for neither (and I dont think they even should for female viera if theyre gonna look like kriles outfit lol) other than marketing female viera even in sandwiches they dont seem to do pretty much anything with them, they even confirmed no hairstyles for male hrots and basically no hairstyles just new racial ones for female viera, makes me think theyre gonna drop missing genders and forget about the new races sadly.

I still think that it wasn't only their decision. You guys seem to not know that developers don't work independently and there is a possibility they just got an order from the above, where somebody thought it would be great to release new races with the expansion. That's why we've seen very unpolished Viera and Hrothgar trailers on the FanFest. The new races clearly show us that they worked fast and probably didn't have enough time to design them properly. That's why they look how do they look and they still don't have all hairstyles and headgear. Maybe somebody thought that people will be happy enough if they get their 'fanservice bunny girls' and 'big furry daddies', but he made a mistake and players didn't buy that. Now the milk is already split and all that they can do is dealing with the problem and trying to resolve it. Even though I didn't have plans to play as Viera, I was very and I still am disappointed. I still love FFXIV and play it and I am ready to support SE, but I do not trust them as much as in the past.

My trust has been gradually eroding for a while now and I think I've supported SE enough by buying the fantasias I used to transfer into the new races and back. They need to regain that trust before I spend money on anything other than my subscription. This feels just like Blue Mage all over again. Good for a short while, then left to gather dust.

After seeing what they put out for Viera for the Krile outfit and Hrothgar's face locked to hair situation I think people are more than within their rights to call things as they are. I for one was personally not happy about the announcement for new "racial" hairstyles when I already owned several that can only be bought with real money or millions of gil.

Some prefer to poo poo the work and effort this team has put in. I'm sure when they say this will probably be the last races to come to FFXIV it's because of all the work and effort needed to produce them and they are being honest with the community. It's become pretty obvious how much work the new genders have required given they aren't complete yet.

They do plan on adding more hair styles, head gear and so on as the xpac continues to move forward. Hopefully we'll get some significant additions for 5.1.

It's just agenda based for some to say they are lazy and they did a bad job on the existing new genders when in fact they are pretty special in my opinion. I see them everywhere and Hrothgar as well. The reality is that adding still more genders appears to be after seeing how much work was and is still needed a more and more remote possibility given they would require refitting all the gear from 5.0 as well.

I used to trust fully on SE until 5.0's fanfests, but that aside, I dont think this decision was taken single handedly by the dev team, but the decision, regardless of who took it, was obviously (as numbers and reactions show) very wrong, now we can just hope they will fix this somehow

Saying what I see is not an agenda. It's common sense. Special does not necessarily mean good and in this case is a far cry from complete.

False, they did in fact say new racial hairstyles and faces for Hrothgar. I've linked the interview several times where they've said this.

While any change to Hrothgar is welcome if it improves how limited they are it's clear after reading over those questions again that they didn't have much of a plan except to give a few beastial options at the cost of everything else. That race deserved to be worked on and released in a state far better than what we got.
