The claim that there's already 'enough' options for big, buff men is very arguable, too. Many of us who want to play men in this game want another option that is tall and well-built without having comically oversized proportions or glaring design flaws. I'm pretty confident that Highlander men would be a lot more popular if they could be designed to have something closer to Midlander-esque features and also have access to authentic eyebrows. Basch from FFXII is an excellent example of what I refer to.

Given how male viera have been described, they're a good fit for that aesthetic. Though with that said, I already didn't expect them to come anytime soon but now I'm starting to believe that they're not going to come at all no matter how long we wait and request them to be added.

I guess I'll just have to get my 'forest elf' fix from Classic WoW instead.
I think that with classic wow and how SHB is kinda really bad once u finish MSQ FFXIV should really do everythingt hey can next expac if they want a single chance against WoW, so I think that they really should try to push in things like missing genders, PvP updates and make the missing genders fill the 2 more obviously missing niches (wood elf and feral female), personally I think that they will 100% eventually added, but I think that the onyl way to get them by 6.0 is if we keep up support like we have been doing so the devs see that we truly really want them, if not, I think they might be pushed back into 7.0 or just last expansion kind of thing
