I don't want to go back in time, and check everything I have watched, I am sure he did say that, but my memory can be wrong, and I don't have time to prove it on paper or to link it. I am sure myself they answered this question sometime ago - and it was as I said before.

Beside as You know, He did also said, that this was rushed thing, and could not be in the final version, and as You can see, everything is rushed, no hair from moogstation, no animated ears, etc, so ofc, they didn't put male yet, at least but not last because of that.

Uhmmm, they didn't say "yes" as far as I remember. They said "maybe one day you will see them", which is another story.

When it's about such things that are quite costly to implement, with calming down the demand (doesn't matter here if it's from big amount of people or small) company can just think "ah they forgot, cool, let's move on".

Adding to this, remember it's a Japanese company and developers, including Yoshida, are Japanese and have Japanese mindset. As much as they are focused on abroad community, everytime they are vague about something, be very sceptic, because there is a chance it's a hidden "no", which is a thing in their culture.

Yeah, they probably can do it if they really wanted to, but they don't think it's a priority, of any kind. I could probably see them coming out with the missing genders before ever editing, or adding to the current races, aside from hairstyles. If I remember correctly, Yoshida wasn't even, apparently, aware people even wanted the stubble, these kind of things don't even reach his desk probably. It's obvious they have a strict schedule that they don't really move away from. Their releases are formulaic to a fault. To them stubble isn't worth delaying this patch scheduling. If something like this does get done it would get done SLOWLY.

At the same time, Square Enix is being kind of iffy about responding to player feedback and keeping their word on this particular subject... They promised to not include sex-segregated races again, and yet here we are. Now, I don't mind waiting if it means we get more customization options for the viera and hrothgar we already have, but I'd like Square to actually be transparent about it. A large portion of the community doesn't seem to enjoy sex-segregated races and I hope they can at least acknowledge that.

SE hasnt ever been good with taking feedbakc in and using it ASAP, but at least it isnt like EA

At no point did SE promise to not do "sex segregated races" nor was it ever implied that way. I keep seeing this a lot, but no one can show any artical or media confirming this statement. I have nothing against adding male viera, but people should usr facts, not assumption in their argument against why SE didnt impliment male viera.

Yeeeeah, I've pointed it out a few times. It's one of those non-sense things people take as fact because others say it enuff yet no one has any cites for it.

We legit know that Yoshi, after giving us Female Roe- Female Highlanders- Male cats, said "They'd look weird. If we ever did Viera we'd have to give something different for the males."
That was in 2013. Doesn't sound like the words of a man who was openly saying "no-more-mono-gender-races ...EVER!".
