I saw the early arguing, and it would have helped to come to a consensus. But I find with most (Western) player requests, it's a whole lot of shouting back and forth and not one voice to reach Yoshida clearly.
Except butt sliders.

I'm surprised at the amount of people on here that are against more options.
Perfect World International had more options. Enjoy your immersion with that one. And yes, bikini tanks and meidou costumes are in XIV. But I'm talking about the la creaturas of the impressive (at the time) character creator options and little on the limits.
Yoshi P has expressed in live letters about how he wants the game to look good. More options for the sake of more options and no sense of aesthetic just to have something atrocious is not a good call to make more options available.

Did you ever consider this is an online game where multiple people have a different "aesthetic" they want? People can dress however they like and will continue to do so regardless of your aesthetics.

Impressive.
Comical as some posters say that community is lowering their standards and others come to use words such as "Atrocious".
Sure could fix something inside before spilling their souls out.
I would not use a feminine dress in my male character or masculine outfit in my female character.
Still, would love to see more people happy being who they are. In pixels or IRL.
Also, I do realize that to keep delivering content in so short circle, their hands are full and projects do take time to come to light.
Why is Krile's outfit locked? There is no reason for it and the devout gear was male too in FF... there is literally nothing that feminine about it...???

No thanks. I really enjoy genderlocked gear, b/c it gives 2 outfits of the same theme in a lot of cases. Removing the lock would limit a lot of the aesthetic to just 1 neutral or strange looking outfit in the future. Also, the single outfits are nice as they are. I get surprised when I see an outfit that my gender can't wear, it's fun roaming around Limsa's docks and discovering something new. I don't need -every- outfit.
Not to mention, as it has been stated before, there are far more important matters resources and devs should be focused... like I dunno, finishing the races, b/c the state they're in is super disappointing.

FotM? It's been around for years. Also who the hell are you to tell me what I do and do not want to be able to wear and when I should be able to wear it?They aren't. Otherwise very few people who play this game that spend their time here would be able to use it. The better question would be why do you need that coat? Aren't there similar ones in the game that are unisex? You don't need EVERYTHING to be gender neutral. Let the women have some gear and let the men have theirs. Stop acting entitled, especially since you're going to just replace it 3 months later with whatever is FotM.
To answer your other question no, there are no other coats in the game that have the same style as Snow's and Snow's can only be worn by males. There are NUMEROUS other examples on the Mog Station of outfits that are gender specific for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

+1 on this from me of course. I'd buy way more things from the Mogstation if everything were unlocked - I don't really like a lot of the male gear they post, whereas the female gear tends to be just my style...if my character could actually equip it.
In particular I adore the look of the Nezha Lady's set (Those shorts!) and would actually have bought it when it came out (instead of waiting for a sale as usual), but the Nezha Lord's set leaves me utterly cold. I spent some time browsing the Mogstation last night to see what I wanted to buy during the sale, and...this is actually going to be the first year I don't pick up ANYTHING, because somehow in the entire year since the last sale, they've added literally nothing I like that I could actually equip...

I'm game for this. I've had my eyes on the Lyse outfit for a while. Obviously can't wear it since female only, rip.
