I don't feel that game has any lack of contents at all especially at the beggining of a new Expansion pack where the amount of new objetives are up. Actually, is there any game with infinite stuff to do?, ANY GAME has limited content and after you reach at End-Game you just going to repeat the same thing over and over again.
In FFXIV i do have Achievments to do and collect some cool stuff for it, Rolettes, Primals, Raids, Savage, Alliance Raids, 29 different Jobs to Level Up and farm equipments, the best and most fun Craft system to work on it, Gathering to collect mats, Market Board stuff to make Gil, Maps, Fishing Logs, Tons of Sidequests, Gold Saucer stuff to farm like Verminions, Chocobo Racing and Triple Triad Card Collection, Tournaments, Housing, PVP isn't the best out there but you find people in 5-10 min queue at night ( ST ), and many more things to do.
Final Fantasy XIV definitively doesn't have any lack of content to me, i'm satisfy with all i have.
So..what exactly are you all looking for? For them to throw in more raids? Or something completely different?
I ended up giving 1.0 a nice break to give them some time to work out some of its initial issues... so while I didn't get to do Hamlet, it looks an awful lot of XI's besieged and campaign battles which were a blast, always was fun to join in on those when they were going on and in the area, sometimes even went out of my way to do them. If that is the case, I'd prefer that over the constant fight a boss in a Square/Circle arena that comprises the bulk of the current end game as well.
I heard the Ishgard Restoration might be similar to Hamlet, though I don't know if that's referring specifically to DoH/DoL only or if it applies to DoW/DoM as well to a lesser degree in terms of contribution. It might be something to look forward to.
It's not just that. I would argue that even the current endgame content becomes outdated way too fast these days. Almost everything becomes roulette fodder one month after it gets released. Why not have the current extreme trials have drop higher gear when they release the third one (ShB end boss Ex trial)? Maybe increase the damage a bit or add a new mechanic. Why isn't this a thing instead of the constant tombstone, roulette treadmill?
As brilliant as ShB is, give me something to look forward to when I am max level with the job I main and love. They need to freshen up the end-game progression and also keep the current content alive way longer.
Absolutely everything here is a time waster. It is a game, it is meant to waste time. And to have fun while wasting that time.
If you have fun in savage good for you. I have no fun in that content, I want something else.
Even if it isn't "actual battle content" (entitled much?). Yeah Eureka, while it had many many problems, is content I am looking forward to. But we don't have that yet. But we have savage. So I should be the one complaing about a lack of end game content, rather than the raiders, don't you think?
