It's a failure in tuning if it doesn't meet what they intended, but apparently, it does. If you disagree, then you might have a different philosophy than the developer.
You don't get to reject a topic that's introduced in the opening post.
They weren't. You keep trying to introduce things you want to discuss that have nothing to do with the opening post purely to promote an agenda. Case in point your idea that old content with different rewards is "endgame content", it isn't, it's old content with different rewards.
These are the very first two sentences in the opening post:They weren't. You keep trying to introduce things you want to discuss that have nothing to do with the opening post purely to promote an agenda. Case in point your idea that old content with different rewards is "endgame content", it isn't, it's old content with different rewards.
If you don't see how broad of a topic answering that can lead to, that's your problem.
Even the final question can be answered differently than you might expect:A valid potential answer to that is: Yes, FFXIV has less hardcore endgame content than what I'm used to in other MMORPG, but I find myself enjoying the non-hardcore content as well (edgame or otherwise), so I can keep myself busy doing them in between Savage tiers, especially with Ultimate added to the mix. And there are other games I play as well.I'm interested in knowing what other players think who have experienced other MMORPGS at max level. Do you find yourself running out of things to do at max level? Obviously this excludes things like, leveling, old content etc.
If not - please provide examples of the kind of content you play at level 80 that keeps you busy.
He also said "In every other MMORPG I played, I never ran out of content to do at max level within less than two weeks of an expansion. There was always plenty to keep my max level busy and challenged.
Am I alone in wishing that we had more to keep our max level classes busy? I feel like the game offers so much "along the way to 80", but it just stops there and wants to level something else.
The game has grown substantially over the years and has definitely attracted more like minded people who are used to having plenty of options of end game content in its competitors."
He excludes on the road to 80 content, specifically excludes leveling other classes (so why were so many responses about leveling other classes), mentions content for max level classes multiple times, and combined with the title of this thread it was clear what he was asking. As I said before if you didn't know what he was on about after reading the title and the first post, you either have a problem with reading or you're being deliberately obtuse.
What a pity this answer was so rarely given in this thread, because as you said it's 100% validA valid potential answer to that is: Yes, FFXIV has less hardcore endgame content than what I'm used to in other MMORPG, but I find myself enjoying the non-hardcore content as well (edgame or otherwise), so I can keep myself busy doing them in between Savage tiers, especially with Ultimate added to the mix. And there are other games I play as well.
At least it was given. Maybe rare in that exact form, but essentially most other responses that I see are mostly around similar type, only maybe more argumentative in nature.
EDIT: That's why so many responses are about leveling other classes.

Yer not going to get anywhere in this topic. 95% of people here for the last 100 some odd pages parrot the same tired crap, ad naseuem that has nothing
to do with the title or op's post. There is no argument to it so people need to keep going back to
"Did you get X Y Z?" So...with what said, I guess people agree that there's no real end-game.
Endgame doesn't mean going back to level 1 on another job lmao.
As of Stormblood patch 4.1, FFXIV's endgame cycle is generally 4 Savage fights followed by an Ultimate fight. The four savage fights last us 3 months, and the 1 Ultimate fight lasts 3 months. The goal of Savage progression is to gear up to be ready for Ultimate; this means 8 weeks as a near minimum for all the gear necessary to tackle it. Not everyone is going to attempt Ultimate due to its sheer difficulty, however it is a fight that on its own will last people 3 months easily.
So with Ultimate, the endgame in my opinion has a nice round cycle of "3 months to gear, 3 months to win the challenge, repeat." I can understand people who don't do Ultimate not agreeing, because then the entire 6 month cycle kind of loses its point and you're left with 3 months of nothing.
Me: "I really like this game, but I've done all end game content my max level can do, I wish the game had more end game content for my main to enjoy..."Yer not going to get anywhere in this topic. 95% of people here for the last 100 some odd pages parrot the same tired crap, ad naseuem that has nothing

Them: "HAVE YOU LEVELLED OTHER CLASSES"
Me: "Well yes, I've maxed a few but I don't even see how that remotely counts as content for my mai-"
Them: "OKAY SO YOU HAVEN'T DONE EVERYTHING"
It's a little silly.
