    You’re kidding me right? We know what to expect. Yoshida ALREADY stated their estimated difficulty is, and it’s been the level they’ve been striving for since creator. It came straight out of the hoses mouth. As long as the difficulty stays the same, it will not keep players involved until the next patch.

    Excuse me for not reading the 51 pages this topic has spawned, but saying "that's it" to Shadowbringers is a bit silly when ShB still has 2+ years of content ahead of it.
    This topic seems to come up every expansion.

    If you are over 75 Praetorium gives ~50% of a level, if you are around 70 it gives around 80% of a level. Anything below that and Paetorium just gives you a level.

    It won't be. Devs learned that lesson the hard way. They will NEVER release something as bad as Gordias at the begining of an expansion... I still hope they would bring something almost as bad towards the end instead of sticking to baby difficulty all the way through.

    People are not asking for 10 same style fights, but there would be a lot of mechanical similarities regardless. You also have to take into account that double the fights means double the possible weekly gear which will speed things up considerably just from gearing up from story version to go into savage progression. It becomes an ever moving goalpost because the consumption rate is so quick.

    They've learned a lot over the years no doubt, and this is one of those things. But they can't let the concept of Diadem die, so...hopefully they'll learn that lesson too eventually.

    Well, it's really going to depend on the player- but for the hardest content, if it continues with such low clear rates, it may entertain some people for a week or two, or months. The only way to really keep it 'relevant' to those who clear it first is to put an endless gear grind on it- I mean, if we had a TF system like in WoW, there wouldn't be complaints of nothing to do since it'd take you the entire xpac to be BiS even as a hardcore player, you'd still be farming it over and over.

    There are really only two ways to keep those that blow through content as fast as possible- make the content so close to impossible that nobody can do it and thus alienate even more players from endgame which in turn makes it harder and harder to justify putting dev time into making it, or putting in an endless grind such as TF'ing gear or azerite farming. But that has its own problems- one is that those that can't farm 40+ hours a week feel like they're endlessly behind, and often just wait for catch up mechanics, and frankly even for those that do it they tend to find it extremely menial and boring.

    If it were up to me, I'd suggest adding more bridging difficult content as a priority over ultra hardcore- if you can ease players into the difficulty, you're far more likely to get people interested. If there were more players doing the hardest content, it becomes easier to justify putting dev time into it.

    That is blatantly false, though. Maybe if they dumbed down the difficulty even more than they have, but if not this is blatantly false. As it stands right now, the difficulty poses a challenge for the average raider to the point of keeping them busy for a couple months, but then it’s nothing but boredom til a new tier comes out. Most groups have a set schedule based on the available time their IRL allows. They don’t get on every single day, all day, until they beat all of the bosses. That’s just not how any of this works. Again you are only thinking of the minority of the minority.

    I have been raiding since creator, and we have never just blown through bosses as fast as we can. Again, most groups do not. Only people I could see doing that are those who pug savages, and even then, you would have to be very VERY lucky in order to clear all bosses quickly. Even if you started progging upon release. I am speaking from experience.

    How many people do you think quit every patch cycle? How many of those people do you think are raiders? Now let's say 200k people quit, for 4 months each 6 month patch cycle. 12$ per person, let's say. You just missed out on nearly 10 million dollars over that period that you could have made if you simply added a bit more hardcore/midcore content to keep that group around. How much that would cost to implement? I doubt 10 million, but who knows. In the end, giving the game more raiding content would pull in new people too who are unhappy with WoW, increasing the subscriber base even more. Plus Twitch viewers to give the game even more exposure. If you notice, the amount of twitch viewers for this game jump when Savage and Ultimate are released, then drop sharply thereafter. More exposure also means more subs, more money. More resources to invest in the future into both casual and hardcore content. More health and strength for the game. But no, casuals don't want it just because there might be content that they are unable to beat.

    Casual? I got all I wanted from Extrime and I am ready for savage thing, so Cheers mate, if that is casual to you so be it

    We already got random stats (secondary mind you) in Eureka Pyros for the relic weapons, it was almost universally disliked by the playerbase.
