I played Legion, it really wasn't that great. It was fun the first time.... then it was boring to level through any alts; especially since there was no difference in story for either faction and world quests were pretty bad since it was the same 4 things over and over.
I found that just azerite gathering, and a few world quests that offered stuff I needed, anlong with 1-2 raids a week weren't enough. I'd be done playing after 1-2 hours in a day. Here, I can keep going all day, but that may end once I get my professions to 80.
Never bothered with M+ because I played Enhance and refused to use raider.IO = no chance at getting in.
Still more stuff to do here in a day than there was in a week of WoW, and I still haven't tried it all.
Really, don't say such things. The worst thing that could happen is if this game adopted the cancerous AP design. AP does indeed make you spin the hamster wheel but theres nothing enjoyable about it. SWTOR for example has a much better end-game system where you keep earning XP and get boxes of goodies that are complementary to your gearing up (as well as mounts and minions).Exactly! Take WoW for example.. I never really found farming azerite or world quests to be "thrilling". But i was kept busy and entertained.
Mythics provided a new way to keep old content fresh and challenging, whilst providing rewards that were relevant for the efforts put in.
This all end game content that outside outside of raiding.
You could still progress your character, everyday with your friends or alone, little by little. And that keeps a lot of players subscribed.
The only worthwhile thing WoW has that is worth copying is Mythic+ dungeons. Would like to see such a system in FF. The pet battle system is decent as well. Though FF already has lord of vermillion.
Also having 4 encounters in a raid isn't a bad thing. One of the most turn off things about WoW for me atm is how huge the raids are. You need to study for it like a test. It is really annoying and off putting. I am thankful and prefer smaller raids. The question is the pacing at wich they get released.

From what I hear you are in a very small minority if you found azerite anything more than tolerable. Many would say "entertained" is a strong word for that and world quests you can do in your sleep. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
The FFXIV devs aren't like the WoW devs. They do not expect you to and do not want you to play only this game all the time. They have said they want their players to be able to keep up to date with the content without sacrificing time spent on other games or other activities.
After sometimes needing to treat WoW like a job, I welcomed the more laid back pace FFXIV demands as a minimum to keep up with content. I don't feel like I'm going to fall behind if I do not want to or cannot play the game for a few days. I can take a short trip somewhere without worrying about being able to cap weekly stuff on time before the next lockout because it can easily be done in just two days. I do log in nearly every day, but I enjoy the freedom of not needing to.
Also FFXIV has never been all about end-game. It's a Final Fantasy, which means the journey matters just as much as the destination.
Realy and what?I definitely feel like this game never really has enough content, especially if progression raiding doesn't interest you. That's why I unsub for roughly half of every expansion. Never really had that issue with WoW. If I unsubbed from WoW, it's because I was bored of WoW, not because I ran out of things I could do. It would be nice if there were more things to do, but I'm not going to hold my breath. They seem pretty content with their formula. All of the random nonsense that got added in ARR seems to have been a fluke.
After i reach level 60 with my Shadowpriest i played BGs up to Rank 12.
13 and 14 was only 4 24/7 and MC was not a Option,
so i quit WoW for ever because there was nothing to do.

Is this a serious response? You got bored of WoW over a decade ago because you only engaged with a small sliver of content and that's supposed to be relevant to this discussion? That's how the people who run out of content in WoW always are: They want to do one very specific activity in a game that always meant for players to engage with a broad array of activity. Players like that aren't cut out for MMORPGs and should focus on buying the latest release of their preferred franchise in their preferred genre.

The real problem with FFXIV is the lack of true raids, like it used to be in EQ1 or WoW. Eg areas with a large number of encounters you need to handle with a decent amount of players. Here in FFXIV what people call raids aren't really raids.I definitely feel like this game never really has enough content, especially if progression raiding doesn't interest you. Wow, talking about not enough endgame content and then coming up with WoW as an example which always goes into a one-year content drought before the next expansion hits.I definitely feel like this game never really has enough content, especially if progression raiding doesn't interest you. Of course, you can't run out of things to do in WoW simply because they add a shit ton of time gating stuff, for example farming azerite to max level is completely pointless because everything you boringly grinded for 6 months takes you like a week after catchup mechanics come into place.
