Ever seen a bad player on Twitch play this game?

I avoid this by not watching streamers play games and instead play them myself.

Sincere question, what’s the draw? Beyond watching a guide video for something you haven’t done before or didn’t understand.

Depends on what I'm in the mood for. Some streamers it's to learn tactics I'm not aware of in context to what just happened on the screen (as many of the guys I watch love to answer questions). For other streamers I just enjoy their personality, banter, their roleplay, or even the community they foster in chat.

Streaming is more than just watching the game, it's about engaging with the streamer and chat as events are happening on screen. It can be thought of as being akin to sitting on your couch with friends while one of you is playing a game.

Theres also those who are both pretty chill and skilled enough, who have smaller followings than they should based on the popularity of several others.

eh, it depends. I am always watching -something- when I play. Sometimes its movies, sometimes its tv shows, other times its law streams or game streams. I find it enjoyable to watch some speedrunners and some mmo streamers without having to interact with them while they do their thing.

but OP is the one who mentioned the streamer's gender in the first post.

'She' is a lot easier to both say and think than 'the streamer' over and over. Especially when you know its a she. The same applies to it being a he.

I mean, sorta. I once tuned in to some girl playing BLM in some raid and I was super interested in BLM at the time so I thought it would be a perfect stream to watch. I had to close the stream after a few minutes in. She was ONLY clicking her skills, which is no issue if you can pull it off, but she could not. She was constantly searching for which skill to press next, or deciding which to use next, I don't know. Ended up failing multiple mechanics because of it. shrug

that's terribly mean... i'm surprised she still streams.

I think it's both not cool to come here and complain about the streamer but the streamers attitude was pretty nasty as well. Granted we only have 1 side of the story.
I don't see how telling someone to be careful with a boss consists of "spoilers". I swear some people are overly sensitive to what consists of "spoilers" and/or backseat gaming. As someone who is an horrible backseat gamer and therefore avoids watching people playing games that mod knows not what backseat gaming is but that is besides the point.

OP and streamer have both acted like horrible people in this one instance. one for being dealing with a very common thing in a very nasty manner. the other for coming to the official forum to whine about it i guess. I don't see what kind of discussion is there to have here? what is the point of this thread?

To be fair, if you stream, you should be emotionally prepared (as in not care that much) if people post spoilers/advice. If you make it clear it annoys you, more people will start doing it. If you stream, expect the worst, and keep your cool.

She may be an awful player, but I feel the people on her chat must be awful human being. If someone plays badly and that annoy you, just go find another stream and stop watching. Holy crap I have to question what kind of sad life people must have to go watch bad players so they can flame the person for it.

No, there is nothing fair about that. The person made a rule for the stream, and those who viewed are expected to respect that. It's not really different that forums enforcing no spoiler rule at the beginning of ex-pack or story patch. I suggest to experience this yourself:

- Wait till the next story patch or expack.
- Rush through it, and make a spoiler post with the most important element right in your tittle.
- Count the minutes on how fast you get banned.
- Try and see how the "if people don't want to be spoiled they should just stay off the internet!" excuse gonna fly with the moderators.
