Oh right, I remember that now. Shows how much IIf I recall correctly the Gunbreaker Gunblades were designed to fight again Allagan guns, some suitably ancient foe anyway.
Garlean gunblades in turn were inspired by Gunbreakers, with Radovan considering their weapons to be inferior imitations, while the Garleans obviously consider them to be superior to the original.careknow about gunblade stuff.

For me for example DNC is not impressive yet people lose their mind about that job. It's all matter of perspective. For me idea of gunblade job based on Garleans or FFXIII gunblade seems to be very interesting. There are multiple ways to make it fun.According to the lore provided by the starting Gunbreaker questline....
....they're just called "guns". It's also why they call the job "Gunbreaker", as their tactics were designed to fight specifically against Garlean weaponry.
Honestly, I'm not sure why players want Garlean stuff. In the end, it's either Gunbreaker with more ranged skills, the "reverse Red Mage", or Machinist with melee skills. It just doesn't come off as being that impressive compared to what other jobs can do.
