Correct me if I'm wrong, but any user of a Garlean Gunblade, can cast any of their signature attacks or moves with any weapon as we've seen so far in game. What does the Gunblade add if anything, knowing this? The source for Garlean Gunblade's magical abilities comes from Ceruleum. Garlean Gunblades are made to compensate for the Garlean lack of ability to use magic thus the weapon was designed to use Ceruleum as the magical energy source instead of the user themselves.
It is also the reason why the Garlean Gunblade creates these Azure Flame attacks for Gaius, Regula, and Vitus as Ceruleum is the source of the Azure Flame attacks created by using Garlean Gunblades.
Well Garlean Gunblades can be either Magic DPS or Physical DPS based on what the developer choose lore wise as Ceruleum is the source of power for the Garlean Gunblades which tend to have this Azure Flame magic effect on the weapon's abilities so anyone with or without Magic can use a Garlean Gunblade.
What we know now is only the Basic functions of the Garlean Gunblade.
How the mechanic of the Job may function is the part in question here.
Heck if we look at ALL current Jobs in the game we can say the very samething about them until we actually begin to look at the Mechanic that focus on separating the Jobs. Current Tank Jobs are the most criminal of this issue until we look into their Mechanics with how do they Fight while still doing the samething of being the Job that must time damage reduction and keep the group alive by taking the hits.
Well, what I mean is, and don't want to list spoilers, we've seen quite a few high up garleans use the same moves, even when changing weapons, either on how the weapon looks or because other reasons in them wanting to change. What we know now is only the Basic functions of the Garlean Gunblade.

Gunbreaker is based around the Gunblade functions in lore and abilities, so we know how that tank works. Paladins are based on their shield aspects, etc. Looking at the jobs, their mechanics are based around their weapons, with said weapons enhancing them in many ways. Red Made, Gun Breaker, Paladin, Machinist, etc. I think pure casters are the exception really, their mechanics based on the job itself not the weapon.
Well there are certain potential paths they can take with Garlean Gunblades already.....Well, what I mean is, and don't want to list spoilers, we've seen quite a few high up garleans use the same moves, even when changing weapons, either on how the weapon looks or because other reasons in them wanting to change.

1) The reverse Red Mage which focus on Melee as primary attacks and Range as their off-attacks.
2) Potentially the Physical Damage version of Red Mage but all instant cast attacks.
3) a Instance Cast Magic DPS Job that use Ceruleum to potentially empower the Garlean Gunblade to create Range attacks through their slash and Gun barrel causing Magic Damage due to Ceruleum's affinity to be a alternative to Magical energy. (PS Red Mage is not a Instant Cast Mage but a Double Cast Mage as it still need to cast normally first before it can cast a 2nd spell right after)
4) Maybe the first Magic Melee DPS Job using Ceruleum to empower all attacks for Magic Damage with some range projectile attacks as off-GCD attacks.
As for the Mechanic that involves the use of the Ceruleum in the Gunblade, that is something I am uncertain yet as that will certainly the the main focus that separates the Garlean Gunblade Job from the other Jobs the most.

I see your points, but in your own words, but be quite similar to a red mage. I'd be hoping for something far more unique, something that draws you in to want to try and play it since different. Hmmm... Well, I'm not going to fully dismiss such a job honestly. And nothing wrong with crossing fingers, and toes if skilled enough!Well there are certain potential paths they can take with Garlean Gunblades already.....

All dps jobs just boil down the pressing buttons to do damage. What weapon you use is almost cosmetic at this point.I see your points, but in your own words, but be quite similar to a red mage. Well they can always go Full Veteran Commander path from Elsword....I see your points, but in your own words, but be quite similar to a red mage.
