I do remember reading that the males are aggressive toward one another, which I think is an interesting contradiction to what the one NPC said in game about them taking on apprentices. Then again, once those apprentices run off to do their own thing, they're probably considered competition.

I also wonder if that is again just the english language that already made them fierce protectors of the forest while the JP version decribes them more as nomads. In the end you have tribes with the Au Ra that are going around killing of other tribes and those include females too. Or the whole female only tribe that are still able to survive quite fine, even though the female Au Ra look like they could break their arms when they lift heavy weapons. So I am not really sure if that counts as evidence on how they look, especially in a fantasy game.

Anyway lets hope that we get them at all.

And its a bit funny seeing some trying to argue that something must be a child or must be a female even though its clearly a male, just not in a style they like. Its even better when you have that on a Final fantasy forum..since FF games love to make pretty boys. As someone that was and is still reading a lot of manga and looking at nice fanart, I just shake my head at some trying to take these fanarts down which clearly shows a male in anime style.

Also I agree with female Viera having a very similar body as the Elezen, but without the problems that those have. This is probably a good reason on why female Elezen have lost much with the inclusion of the Vieras. And Yoshida himself even saw the males more as Elezen like.

In the end this thread is just speculation anyway and no version is more true than the other.

Agreed. The male characters are rendered especially doll-like in Dissidia NT. Ramza is a good example. And sure, the game was developed by Team Ninja and not SE, but it's still their IP. Still their characters. And Cecil is gonna be out here rocking lipstick regardless of whose game he's in.

I'm surprised nobody in here has mentioned lalafells as part of the whole youth argument, actually.
