It's a picture of an adult male viera drawn in anime style.

What would it look like in actuality then? My bad, I thought it was a child viera concept. In game would it be an adult?

I'm just having trouble picturing how they use a concept that's in a different artistic style and apply it to the game. I think the official concept does a much better job.

Actually I think you are wrong here. I am pretty sure this is a child viera, this art is by the same artist. If you look on the left page next to the body types, you can see an actual adult viera concept on the right side of the female.

You are incorrect. The adult male viera on the right hand side of the page was used as an inspiration for the model, as well as the other headshot (they are both the same character). The twitter user said so.
I disagree with you, and would love to have something similar to this as a face option.

The facial structure seems rabbit-like, or sort of like miqo'te, which I think is more accurate to the concept art.
The art you presented did not have such a face, so I felt it is not accurate.

I would definitely like to have something like the face I suggested as a facial option. I also think there should be a variety of other face options for people.

Yeah, I'm not seeing the rabbit like features, and the concept I presented has half his face under a mask so I don't know how you can say it doesn't have 'rabbit-like' features if that is what you are referring to.

The model I showed is not finished yet. From what I understand, the twitter user creating this model is observing the facial structure of the female viera, or rather the rabbit-like structure of their faces, and translating that onto their own model. One thing this user could improve upon is making their nose more rabbit like, but otherwise, I think something like this would be a great face option.

Although the picture you presented is wearing a mask, it still looks like he has a rather normal, more human looking face from what we can see. That's just subjective, though, and you may disagree. I still feel that a human looking face, or something "classically handsome" is a bit inaccurate to the concept art. Yoshida did muse about how male viera faces would look similar to that of miqo'te - if they did implement them. In a way, we can see female viera faces, although different, somewhat resemble that of female miqo'te faces.

I do want to make it clear that I think we should have a variety of facial options that will make most people happy. This includes facial options for those who want a more rugged look, an older look, and so on.

Another thing I thought was worth clarifying is what I mean by accurate. When I say the model I suggested is accurate to the concept art, I do not mean that it looks like the concept art. What I mean by this is that, like the concept art, the model's face resembles that of a rabbit/miqo'te. The face of the model I suggested, and the face in the concept art, would be two different faces if they were available as options.

It's the best compromise, I think. I know quite a few people in this thread were asking for them to be designed after Elezen, so Urianger's model could also work as a great base as it is also similar to the art in question. I was very impressed with his big, beefy arms throughout the latest in-game adventures!

It's the best compromise, I think. Yeah, Urianger looks great for an elezen. He has some really nice definition that would really fit a male viera if they went that route on the body.

On the note of Urianger. I think this screenshot I found on google (sorry don't know the source), portrays what I think males should look like next to their female counterparts.

and that one that's just kind of over there doing it's own thing not getting used by any one. (Looking at you, Male Au Ra face 4).

Just pitching in here that face 4 has my favorite horn style out of all of them and I love the nose scales on it. I think it's unfortunate that it gets overlooked, because imo it's really fun to work with. It definitely doesn't have the same issue as, say, the youthful Elezen face, which straight up just looks all kinds of wrong on the body it's connected to.

All in all I think it's a real shame that the male faces are so diverse and varied while the female face options all look about the same age and just have slight variations in texture, jaw structure, and eye positioning. This goes for all races. I would love to see more options for mature-looking female faces to match the ones we have for male characters, but I doubt that'll ever happen. Beauty standards and target demographics and all that.

Honestly, when I saw that viera were being added, i was hoping for something more along the lines of the Gerudo from Zelda. Like all the Viera are female, only have female children, and have to basically seek out a male from another race to procreate, whether willing or not. That'd be more.. 'Amazon-like' in my opinion.

Yeah I'm not quite sure bringing the idea of ra pe into lore for the purpose of birthing children would go over very well in a game like this.

It would probably work as part of story in general (we have a lot of sensitive topics there including rape), but as lore for playable race... somehow doubtful.
