Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

The person who drew that is also working on a 3D model of their character, which I thought looked really nice.

It's obviously not done yet, but this is what this particular face would look like in 3D. I would like to have something like this as a face option. The model is based off the drawing I think.

This could be a good face for the 'young' option that males always have. It looks like a young man. Even a bit older looking than the young option that Elezen/Hyur/Miqo'te have.

It's the best compromise, I think. I know quite a few people in this thread were asking for them to be designed after Elezen, so Urianger's model could also work as a great base as it is also similar to the art in question. I was very impressed with his big, beefy arms throughout the latest in-game adventures!

Female Viera are almost identical in body shape and size to female Elezen, obviously body base that would make the most sense would be male Elezen.

Female viera don't have an identical body shape to female Elezen. They have similar height. Their body is actually a midlander's with a bit of muscle definition. Elezen are more rectangular shaped. If they did a male version I would expect them to probably just do the same thing, use the midlander model with a decent amount of definition, similar height to Elezen. However, on the male end there are much less differences with body shape, most of what makes an Elezen look different are their tiny heads and long necks - which make their shoulders look very wide. The slightly wider frame on Elezen females makes it look unappealing.

Elezen can look good, but you need to have specific outfits for them. Specifically outfits that hide their proportions, in my opinion.

They use the same model but here's the thing, it's modified. They do look different. Viera have wider hips, are slimmer, their heads match the proportion of their body. In different lighting, and even here, you can see more muscle definition of Viera. Also, for that matter if you are trying to tell me they all use the same "identical" model why did you specifically name Elezen? Elezen have less curves, they look like a cardboard box. When you actually see them in game next to your viera, you can easily spot all the differences. Yes, head size makes a big impact on how they are perceived, and Elezen have tiny heads.

For that matter you can spot the differences in all of the female races. Midlander is a bit more slim than miqo'te, au ra are very petite much smaller than either, elezen are cardboard boxes, roe are much wider and broad in stature, highlander actually use the same body as miqo'te but they have a muscle slider.. Even if they all used the exact same model their idle poses, and animations would make them look distinctively different.

I very much agree with this. In my opinion, it does make sense to use male elezen as a base for male viera, and I think if male viera are added, this will most likely be the base the devs use. Of course, the proportions will be modified, just like it was with female viera.

I'm sure most of the races started with a hyur base at first, but then were modified. Now they are no longer hyur models.

It's just something there to point out that more than likely since female Viera were very clearly a variation of female Elezen with a larger head, male Viera might mirror it by being a male Elezen with a larger head. I think it would fit both the female counter parts and make sense with their lifestyle.

It's clear, at least to me, that female viera look quite similar to female elezen, but with adjusted proportions. I believe male viera will also look similar to male elezen, but with adjusted proportions. It's not unreasonable to assume they would use an elezen base and modify that.

You are wrong though. Viera are almost identical to midlander, the only difference is height, and that is just a slider. Height enlarges the same proportions. The differences between elezen and viera are much bigger than the differences between midlander and viera. I'd actually go as far as saying the body is identical to midlander (as in unmodified; muscle slider). Are we talking about size (height) or the actual build?

Speaking of males, they would be using a modified midlander body NOT elezen, because elezen is literally the midlander body. It's arguing semantics at this point. They might not even modify it they might just do the same thing as females and just adjust the muscle slider (tone) default.

Clarification: Using your example it would be more like this actually Base (midlander) -> Viera

Why would they even use the elezen (modified for elezen) as a base for viera like the poster is implying, when they can just use the midlander body and adjust it's height (which they did)? It's crazy I am even arguing this.

I really, really wish you'd leave Beyonce alone and out of this already. The obsession with her is weird and there's NOTHING about the female Viera that even WHISPERS "Beyonce" to me.

To you, everyone is free to attribute things t o whatever they want, and tbh I think its just u salty about me myself and wanna use whatever u want to go against my opinion like you've done since u started this thread. Oh god forbid I associate female viera with Beyonce, who looks like them physically, acts like them, and has a similar style of clothing in her shows
