Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I mean, part of the reason Viera and Hroth are popular within their demographics is because they're basically better versions of Elezen and Roes. I‘ve played au‘ra before.. it‘s just sometimes so difficult to glam around their hips. stuff just looks weird to me sometimes. same with elezen- really difficult to glam because of weird proportions. that‘s why i hoped male viera would bring in some fresh air. a tall race without some of the weird choices - just like female viera are tall elezen without the weird choices. tall and handsome!
i love playing tall races, but all of them (males) have some really weird design choices : i don‘t like hrothgar hunching - would LOVE if that would be optional + their limitations) highlader - they don‘t really have good face options and they also look weird because apparently it‘s a good design choice giving them no eyebrows AT ALL(at least make it OPTIONAL - even if story says different). male roes just look too cartnoonish for my taste and are the least to my taste.
man i just want a handsome tall race with good proportions - it‘s all i wish for...

All the males except Hyur and Miqo'te have out of proportion bodies.
We need male Viera so that we can choose well a proportioned and tall male option.

I'll definitely throw my two cents in here.

I was prepared to buy the game with shadowbringer's launch when they announced Viera and I knew Yoshi P's policy of 'no monogender races'. I wanted to play a male viera cause bunny boys don't get enough love.

It took until last year, and the convincing of 3 friends, to get me to join up after male viera were nixed.

I've literally been saving my fantasia for them to be added, and I hope the fan-fest will see my wishes realized

But on the subject of body types: I love the look of my Au Ra son with his broadish shoulders, slim waist and thighs of thunder, but honestly I wouldn't want to impose it on any other race. I like having a variety of silhouettes available for player races, and I can understand how people would have issues with glamours with a guitar-shaped body. If I were to hazard a guess as to which body-type to base them off, it would be Elezen, but with more balanced proportions.

Please add male viera with Omega M's body type or the body type shown in these concept arts

I made the shoulders less broad, the neck a tad bit shorter, and removed the fur.

I think this is a good body type for male viera

As long as the male viera are slim, and just a little bit shorter than the female viera, I think that would be cool. The female viera are pretty tall in general, so even if the males are a little shorter, they'd still look cool. In my opinion, I think omega m body type is a good in-between for people who want a more buff viera, and for the people who want smaller viera.

Another option would be to allow a max height male viera to be taller than a max height female viera, and have a minimum height male viera be shorter than a minimum height female viera. Or, the height differences for the subraces can be different.

Addendum—On Adding Younger-Looking Playable Characters

Among some of the feedback we received were requests for playable characters that resembled young boys and girls. Unfortunately, this is one request we cannot consider for ethical reasons.

With every passing year the debate surrounding moral and ethical issues in games grows more intense, and we do not want to present children in battle or in pain—and posing such characters sexually and taking screenshots and so forth would be expressly forbidden.

In any event, regardless of what our players did or did not intend to do, the fact remains that if a review board were to evaluate such content and determine it were unacceptable, we would be forced to suspend FFXIV’s service. We ask that you keep these factors in mind as we strive to abide by the changing standards of the times.

I like the diversity with the race’s proportions on the bodies even if there a couple clunky bits....Elezen necks.....and I’d hope the male Viera would have an Elezen like proportion but maybe a little more wiry muscle. Also I do think the Au Ra male hips wouldn’t be such an issue if the waist was thickened a bit.
