Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Feeling a taste of what I feel. Viera are a gimmick; afterthought. It's unfortunate, but that's how it is. When I saw that screenshot in the other thread I started laughing, and facepalming at the same time. Honestly, if this is the effort we can expect, we probably aren't seeing male viera. Seeing stuff like that just reaffirms my decision to go back to my au ra.

I mean, at least they can use the hood, I guess?

At least fantasia are on sale now though so I can correct the mistake I made of switching to these new races. Me and my witch hats will be returning soon. The next time I feel like being Viera I'll just put on my gold saucer ears.

Good choice. It's been good being an au ra again as well - having the freedom to not be restricted with my hairs, or headgear. Definitely what takes the cake is that you actually have to pay to have the privilege to have it like that. I'd expect more effort out of a paid outfit post ShB, but I guess not..

See, I'm strange - all this confirms to me is that they're not working on the headpieces to fit the heads of Viera at the moment. Makes me wonder just when are they even going to go through them all to have them fit? You would think the mogstation items would be first and foremost on that list. Begs the question on how they're going to go about it. Update all the headpieces at once?

Also, does the outfit work for Au'ra? part of me thinks it's intentional that the ears are supposed to stick out like that - much like auri horns.

I have run a low level dungeon, got a headpiece (dont remember which one) and was shocked when this was shown..why SE would you choose to change that one and not maybe those job locked hats? Sometimes I really wonder. (And laughed really hard when I saw the pictures of Kryles outfit on reddit)

I have an honest question: why anyone is surprised? SE has been doing this since ARR. The gear is not adapted to the necessities of the different races. Just happens that Viera's ears are super obvious, like tails.

Sadly, the average Viera headgear will look like that. Instead of SE adapting all I'll prefer specific headgear for us (like Fran's Helmet). I mean, the ideal scenario will be SE stop cutting corners and fix all pieces of gear for all races... but is not going to happen :/

I wasn't surprised at all. That's the problem. It's really sad that this is what we can expect.

I'm actually embarrassed too. This is like a rookie mistake.
This is truly unacceptable. I'm trying to wrap my head around how this even passed the team.

They should make this one of the main images on the store page of the Krile Outfit. Like Lauront suggested.

Well one part of my post was more about them choosing to change a low level dungeon gear to show on Vieras while the new stuff is often not showing things. And these newer and high level items will probably be used much more often than that one piece out of a dungeon many wont even run anymore. So I still wonder why they choose such items but ignore the recent one, especially the ones for jobs.

The other part was more about laughing how bad a paid item is looking on them. Even after a lot of glitching on those outfits I still thought that they would put more work in something like that especially since they know that Viera barely have any headgear. Yet instead of simply taking away the ears on that they made it poke out.

I would not be a fan in getting specific headgear for us because that will mean that we will get less overall. Its the same problem I see with the racial hairstyles. If they barely manage to give us 2 hairstyles with each big patch how will they manage to give us two + one style for viera and a mane for Hrothgar? This will just end with everyone getting less.

My problem is also: I dont want to give them more money to buy a fantasia to change back and at the same time I love the Viera emotes and finally being taller without having a strange neck and walk or too much muscles. So I guess I stay Viera. I also fear that if too many will give it up, that SE thinks: Well no reason to give us the missing genders for any of those races because people dont want to play them.
