Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I think this is pretty accurate take. We already see female vieras being fierce while looking like supermodels. This isn't too far from them which is a good because it won't make another Au Ra male vs Au Ra female problem.

Agreed. I really like how the male viera in this art looks. I also like the height comparisons below the female viera art on the left. It ranges between being slightly shorter than females, to being taller.

I do like that the face has rabbit-like features, and is a bit like miqo'te.

In my personal opinion, that looks like a bit too soft for being from the viera race, and I would appreciate something taller/harder since, to me, it fits the wood elf fantasy this race brings to FFXIV . Obviously adult men can look like that, but it does come off as super young, and I personally just dont reallly see that mating with fran? I'd like male viera to be more western super-model styled, and a bit more masculine to be like the females, who are very strong and muscular compared to most other races (2nd after roes I believe?), but, if they released that and I could make him just at 1.85 at least, I would certainly still switch, but I wouldnt be as excited. The art iself is very good tho

I would enjoy it if I had a younger looking male Viera who in my mind would have some puppy fat on him still, especially around the face? I can see this being the 'young' face of male Viera. Which by lore would still be considered a 'jack'. I imagine they're still considered 'Jacks' until they hit the rank of Master.

Oh, I believe there shouldnt be an issue with ti by the ToS, its twitter and you can have safe search on I guess? Correct me if I'm wrong

The art itself isn't tagged as NSFW and the artist in question posts a lot of suggestive comments in general. Either way, it isn't really appropriate for a forum such as this where players of many different ages gather.

Aye, the sculpture looks nice. But I'm not a fan of the eyes, they're too big for me. But that's all about preference and style. And they do give a decent amount of eye options, so I could go for a more 'serious' look.

Oh, I havent seen that many NSFW things, but it may be cus im half blind sometimes. I agree that considering theres children I'd rather keep out of links to those accounts tho

Same, but I think that we would get smaller eyes too, so I'd be down for having this as a face option as long as the other are more mature/handsome, The male viera in my signature's face is AMAZING imo

I think this would work as a better compromise, since the models are not hugely different but still account for the differences between men and women.

While I love the art by glue_stick and wouldnt mind seeing it as our official m!viera, I have to agree (with theodric, would you believe ) ) that the original concept art is a pretty good compromise. It's what got most of us wanting them in the first place. Given a good variety of faces that all look good and a similar height range to the females, I think everyone would be happy ngl.
