Actually the in game notes for the Suggest a Feature section in Active Help recommend posting suggestions to the FFXIV General Discussion section of the forums. Then they should be asking the developers, not making a post about it in general discussion. This is a place where players come to... discuss things. Last I checked, none of us will be able to give them additional blacklist space. The only thing we can do is offer advice about how THEY can handle the problem differently.
I thought I'd mentioned it in my OP, maybe I didn't. But I did try to contact SE via the in game Support Desk. This was not filed under harassment or cheating, it was done under contact a GM followed by submitting a general inquiry. To which I got a beep boop robotic response of them being unable to help with in game features and not at all related to what I asked. Followed by, "Speaking with other members of our community can also be helpful. In addition to having in-game conversations, you are also welcome to use our Official Forums."Then they should be asking the developers, not making a post about it in general discussion. I came here not for psychology, nonchalance and accusations. I came here for theorizing solutions, possible solutions and suggestions/feedback from those who could have had a similar problem. Even in the minor pool that is the forum community.
Thing is, you've been given alternatives. Not liking the solution does not mean it's not a solution. Some of the replies could be phrased more diplomatically, but the answer is the same. The internet helps the way the internet helps. Sometimes that's a blunt type of help.I thought I'd mentioned it in my OP, maybe I didn't. But I did try to contact SE via the in game Support Desk. Oh please... Tryhards responding with "The problem's not the blacklist but you" are not discussing in any shape and manner. They are simply obnoxious and probably proud of their oh-so witty/funny/snarky comment. Then they should be asking the developers, not making a post about it in general discussion. Comments like yours are of less help than people pointing out that the issue may not be limited space of the blacklist. Your comment appears to have no other purpose than to rile people up, to be confrontational.
